WASHINGTON, Oct. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of
their continued support of National Retirement Security Week
(NRSW), ICMA-RC is offering several educational resources to
encourage local and state government employees to start saving or
increase contributions to their employer-sponsored retirement plan.
This year's campaign theme, "Your Whole Story," helps
participants to think about their unique story — from the time they
receive their first pay check, until the time they retire.
The annual NRSW initiative, which will take place October 15-21, 2017, is a national effort
championed by the National Association of Government Defined
Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA) to raise public awareness
about the importance of saving for retirement.
"National Retirement Security Week is a great opportunity for
public sector employees to take time to focus on their retirement
savings and confirm they are taking steps towards building their
retirement security," said
Bob Schultze, President and CEO of
ICMA-RC. "National Retirement Security Week encourages everyone to
focus on the importance of a more comfortable and rewarding
experience after leaving the workforce."
The "Your Whole Story" campaign provides online and mobile
educational tools for public sector employees. These resources help
employees who serve local communities reflect on their personal
retirement goals and determine if they are on track to reach them.
