if this is a bad deal (and I do not know) - then a better bid will arrive - it is a free market and other chains can appraise the WI situation and the Mariano's potential

Counter offer would be real nice! Debt or not... I feel that it's worth way more then that!

some debt was for new buildings and Marianos etc

but some debt was for losing years and getting out of crappy locations

If you prefer think of it as 800 million

Maybe a 10% chance of any sort of bidding war - and maybe a $5 cap to the PPS (as any buyer is buying a ton of debt) - but why not sell half before this deal may go south and hold the other half for a while

a day or so ago there was a downgrade on RNDY debt> or credit rating, I don't recall which. Personally, I'm long with Nov & Dec call options sold. Not much premium left so just have to wait out the time left.

I think roundys needs to come back to Minnesota and check out the monopoly in St. Cloud 2 cubs closed there need some competition before HyVee comes to town...

gaps needs to be filled and we have a nice gap to be filled here

as you can see at $3.84, we need to stretch back up that way and fill that entire gap....the high end of that gap is 4.50....

between now and the end of the year, if we continue these strong quarters of beating targets, my feeling is we can do it!!! hope so !

there it is, we took out the 2.53 and we also took out the High of the Day which was breaking through that 2.58 - which we hit the 2.59....

and now she pulls back a little....

next area to break is the 2.60 now....

next resistance is right here at 2.53....if we break it, then we need to take out that Hight of Day test at 2.58....

if she works her way back to the 2.80.....this could see $3 break soon, perhaps by Monday or Tuesday....

i like how the market reacted to the news, I also like how we gave some back yesterday....and now I am liking this gradual move up where it gapped before.....
