Tesla catches on fire in Douglas County, closes part of Highway 83

Can anyone say burnt to a crisp? This Tesla certainly was. Just think, this can happen to you as this is not a specific model or year problem. If power fails and you are unable to manually get the doors open, you could be cremated along with your Tesla.

An electric vehicle caught fire in Douglas County on Wednesday morning, closing down multiple lanes of Highway 83, Parker Road, for more than two hours.

The driver of the vehicle was able to escape prior to the fire and was not injured, the department noted. The cause of the fire has not been identified.
Little is actually disclosed about how the events transpired. It appears the Tesla was going to the country club(?), the driver noticed his car smoking before pulling over, and successfully escaped before the fire consumed the car. Dont you just love lithium batteries and spontaneous thermal runaway? Its amazing what Tesla gets away with. It knows all about this problem but cant do a thing about it...so why are these cars still allowed to be sold?

https://denvergazette.com/news/fire/tesla-fire-closure/article_c821019c-1df1-11ef-8c48-370054278ab3.html

========================================

How does EMF cause lithium batteries to experience thermal runaway and thus spontaneously combust? One of two main ways:

#1 - Overcharge/Discharge

With various impressed external magnetic field intensities an effect was noticed on the charge and discharge curves as well as the charge and mass concentrations within the batteries. With the two-dimensional model starting from 0mT and going to 1mT had the effect of discharging the battery faster and charging the battery faster. With the two-dimensional model starting from 1mT and going to -1mT had the effect of charging the battery faster. In either case an effect on the various characteristics of the battery were studied. With the experiments conducted on the two types of batteries the effect was more profound than subtle. Discharge times were twice as fast and charge times were equally
affected. With the smaller batteries they all generally charged faster under the presence of a magnetic field due to more uniform penetration. In the presence of the field they also discharged faster. The larger batteries would not see the same uniform penetration because only a small area of the battery sees the center of the coil it is placed on

In this dissertation, they found that external magnetic fields significantly increased charge and discharge rates in individual lithium battery cells; like shown in the following image. They also found that smaller batteries were impacted to a greater degree than larger ones. This is likely a reason Tesla is switching to larger battery cells in addition to employing magnetic attenuating honeycomb sandwich battery pack.

#2 - Stimulation of Dendrite Growth

Thermoelectric current causes asymmetric growth pattern of dendrites.
thermoelectromagnetic convection occurs in the vicinity of the solid-liquid interface, and vortices are generated between dendritic arms. It is shown that the thermoelectromagnetic convection has a major influence on dendritic morphology.

However what might be worse than Tesla Chinas omission is Teslaratis description of the park button.

Tesla stated that the Park button was indeed pressed during the vehicle’s final drive four times, but only briefly. Previous tests from Tesla owners indicated that pressing Park for an extended period of time while the vehicle is in motion would stop the car.
First off Teslarati also fails to identify the fact that the park buttons function as an e-brake. But then Teslarati follows it up by saying some users have been able to come to stop when attempting to use the button...but only if held down for extended periods of time.
This description made me assume that the park button simply sends a command to the car to come to a stop and that it had to be held down for extended time to prevent accidental application. That is not the same functionality as an emergency brake. Also per the following video, short presses of the park button while in motion is a method of gradually slowing the Tesla down versus holding the button down for "extended" period of time to immediately come to a stop. I do not know if Mr Zhan knew about this or if his presses of the park button on 4 occasions were consecutive or spread out over time. Regardless the button failed to slow or stop the Tesla. Meaning the signal was either not reaching or being overridden at either the ECU level or computer level.
Is Teslarati responsible for my misconception, certainly not. However my and others misconception was likely their intention by taking advantage of  ignorance of the fact that the PARK BUTTON FUNCTIONS AS AN EMERGENCY BRAKE!!! Or as Tesla calls it, parking brake.
Emergency & parking brakes are essentially a secondary method or system of coming to a stop. For Teslas, it tells the motors to stop all motion. While in motion this is meant to be a backup method of coming to a stop when brakes fail.
Since Teslarati felt it needed to expand on what Tesla China disclosed, it should have been more upfront with its descriptions. As such, their description looks purposefully misleading.

Did you know that your Tesla has an Emergency Brake? Here's how to use it

Driving and car not slowing or stopping
Push on the Park button while car is moving, and brakes will be applied. Like going down a hill too fast. An Emergency.

Tesla China lied by omission in not disclosing that the park button is Teslas e-brake function.

Lying by omission, also known as a continuing misrepresentation or quote mining, occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lying by omission includes the failure to correct pre-existing misconceptions
I believe it did so to help drive the narrative that the driver held the accelerator down. To reveal that Mr Zhan attempted to use the ebrake and that the ebrake (which tells the electric motors to stop all motion) didnt respond would indirectly admit that the brakes and motors failed to receive their command signals, confirming Mr Zhans account of events. That then indirectly confirms this Tesla indeed suffered sudden unintended acceleration. Which means all Teslas can experience SUA.
Furthermore to admit, even indirectly, that this Tesla suffered SUA with data showing near max accelerator pressure would completely derail Teslas claims drivers are hitting the accelerator. That Teslas data is flawed for some reason. That Teslas really are no different than the Electric Vehicles mentioned in the study linked below. This of course would be a PR nightmare as the public finally became aware of the dangers of Teslas and EVs as a whole. Lastly it would open up Tesla to hundreds of significant lawsuits.
So now you can see some of the reasoning to why Tesla China omitted this key detail of the park button functioning as Teslas e-brake.

Here is indirect evidence that Teslas suffer from Sudden Unintended Acceleration along with proof that other kinds of electric vehicles suffer from SUA.

First thing to do is familarize yourself with this particular out of control accident in China Nov 2022. Here is video footage:

https://youtu.be/6Kf3I_OyDlI

In an interview, the driver of this Tesla claims the brakes would not respond and that he tried to use the emergency brake while speeding out of control.

In an interview with local news outlet Dahe Daily, the 55-year-old driver, Zhan, who said he was a former truck driver, said he tried pressing the brake pedal and the emergency parking brake button, but with no effect
This picture clearly shows brake lights on. I wonder if this was one of the times Mr Zhan tried to engage the ebrake?

https://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/news/gallery/what-made-a-tesla-model-y-speed-up-for-26-km-until-killing-two-people-in-china_5.jpg

Tesla China released the following information confirming that Mr. Zhan did indeed apply the emergency brake but data doesnt show he applied the brake. Take note that ebrake application also failed to slow this Tesla down.

Tesla China denied the family member’s claims, noting that data from the ill-fated Model Y showed that the accelerator pedal was depressed deeply during the incident. Tesla stated that the Park button was indeed pressed during the vehicle’s final drive four times, but only briefly. Previous tests from Tesla owners indicated that pressing Park for an extended period of time while the vehicle is in motion would stop the car
There you have it folks, indirect admission that Teslas can experience sudden unintended acceleration. Why do I say that? Because its confirmed that Mr Zhan used Teslas parking brake and there is photographic evidence of his Tesla braking. Using the parking brake while in motion is for emergencies situations when the main brake system fails to respond. Thats also indirect evidence that Mr Zhan did in fact try the brakes and they failed to respond.
Teslas parking brake system is supposed to tell the motors to stop all motion. So its a completely separate system from the actual braking system. Yet Mr Zhan applied it 4 times with no response from the system. Also despite the data indicating only the accelerator was applied, , why would Mr Zhan tell the truth about applying the ebrake and knowingly lie about trying to apply the brake? Or is it more likely that he did attempt to apply the brakes, but like when he applied the parking brake, they didnt respond. There is an explanation for this as seen in other out of control electric vehicles. Simply put the data recorder records what the car does not what the driver tells the car to do, which better explains why the accelerator pedal shows 100% pressure the whole time. The car accelerates because of a glitch to or from the accelerator ECU. You can read more about this in a link posted below in a previous post.

One thing I find particularly interesting, and illuminating, is the fact that Tesla China claims Mr Zhan did in fact apply the park button but fails to acknowledge to the public that the park button is in fact Teslas E-brake (called a parking brake by Tesla). Essentially Tesla China is lying by omission by not disclosing what the park button does and that should tell you that Tesla China is afraid to be truthful with the public.
Teslarati, a very pro Tesla website with high degree of knowledge about Teslas, adds that applying the park button has aided "some drivers" to come to a stop, yet also fails to indicate that the park button is in fact the e-brake. More than that its description of the park buttons function is very misleading. Strange is it not that both these companies are lying by omission and misrepresenting the truth?

If youd like to know more about how to use Teslas e-brake, watch the following video:

https://youtu.be/OM4amQDhtxA

If you would like explanation of how the accelerator can show near max pressure while the driver is applying the brake, something that seems to have occurred here and has occurred in other EV, click the following link:

Inside Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s Growing Alliance

Donald Trump and Elon Musk have discussed a possible advisory role for the Tesla leader should the presumptive Republican nominee reclaim the White House, the latest sign that the once-frosty relationship between the two men has thawed.
Musk, along with the billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, has also briefed Trump on a plan they’ve developed to invest in a data-driven project to prevent voter fraud, according to some of the people. Peltz and Musk also told Trump of an influence campaign in elite circles that is already under way, in which Musk and his political allies host gatherings of powerful business leaders across the country and try to convince them not to support President Biden’s re-election campaign.
Thats going to hurt Tesla more as Musk pushes Trumps re-relection. Musk is an intelligence community asset so this is not surprising. Maybe this will wake up Musk cult followers so they can see hes not what they think he is.

ANOTHER X-FLARE: Old sunspot AR3664 (now AR3697) isn't as big as it used to be, but it is still very active. Today at 1437 UT, it produced an X1.4-class solar flare:
This long-duration flare almost certainly hurled a CME into space. The US Air Force is reporting a Type II solar radio burst most likely produced by shock waves in the leading edge of a CME. Within the radio burst, frequency drift rates suggest an expansion velocity near 900 km/s (2 million mph). Confirmation awaits fresh data from SOHO coronagraphs. Stay tuned!
If this hits or skims the earth could see some more out of control Teslas in a few days. According to magnetic field data it may already have disturbed the earths magnetic field. Seeing some brief cracks.

The computer errors from outer space
(Elon Musk: Model S not a car but a ‘sophisticated computer on wheels’)

When computers go wrong, we tend to assume it's just some software hiccup, a bit of bad programming. Hutchison Effect & Teslas Whompy Wheel issue

Jain is one of tens of thousands of Tesla owners who have experienced premature failures of suspension or steering parts, according to a Reuters review of thousands of Tesla documents. The chronic failures, many in relatively new vehicles, date back at least seven years and stretch across Tesla’s model lineup and across the globe, from China to the United States to Europe, according to the records and interviews with more than 20 customers and nine former Tesla managers or service technicians.

https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/tesla-musk-steering-suspension/

The exact cause of the Hutchison Effect is unknown in public spheres as it is classified under national security. However the most likely culprit seems to be a combination of electromagnetic sources coming together in a way to change the makeup of metals leading to their rusting, softening, fracturing, complete breaking, even dustification. Keep in mind the degree of metal materials that are within our buildings and infrastructure...even in concrete. Maybe this is why we are seeing an increase in building and bridge collapses?

Tesla Settles Fatal Crash Suit Ahead of California Trial
Settlement Comes After Automaker in April Struck Confidential Accord in a High-Profile Suit Over a Crash Involving Autopilot

The plaintiffs claimed that driver Casey Speckman lost control of the 2015 Model S when the car suddenly accelerated on its own, hitting a tree and bursting into flames. Speckman’s boss, Kevin McCarthy, who was in the passenger seat, allegedly survived the impact but died in the blaze ignited by a battery explosion, according to his family’s complaint in state court in San Jose. The suit blamed the “propensity of the vehicle to catch fire, as well as the defective design of the door latch system entrapping him in the vehicle.”

Tesla maintains there was nothing wrong with the car. It said the data event recorder showed that Speckman kept her foot on the accelerator pedal before the crash and never attempted to brake. It also said police reports revealed that Speckman was found to be driving with a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.
This is the second settlement in as many months to avoid jury trial!
People trust those data recorders way too much. Data recorders only record what the car does, they do not necessarily record what the driver is telling the car to do. This disconnect occurs due to EM interference making the car think the accelerator is being pressed when its not actually being pressed. This is why there is a petition by Dr Belt detailing this exact issue. However Dr Belt fails to properly identify the source of the negative voltage spike. As you can see Tesla settled this lawsuit before jury trial to avoid incriminating information to reach the public.

New information received by the NHTSA shows that sudden unintended acceleration events with Tesla EVs were real and not driver errors. The report explains in detail what caused the cars to accelerate even when the accelerator pedal was not pressed.
What's worse is that the incorrectly increased sensor signals will be sent via the CAN bus to the vehicle logs, causing Tesla and NHTSA to conclude that the driver caused the sudden increase in torque by stepping on the accelerator pedal. But in this case, the sudden acceleration was caused not by the driver stepping on the accelerator pedal but by a random superposition of a negative-going voltage spike (which is about 100 microseconds long), and the sampling time of the analog-to-digital converter (which is about 10 microseconds long). This random superposition explains the low occurrence rate of sudden acceleration in Tesla vehicles

Proof Electromagnetic radiation is causing EVs to go out of control and spontaneously combust.
4). Among the data records during the accidents according to the background data of the crashed vehicles or the data of on-vehicle terminals, the position values of most accelerator pedals were very high(99%) while the values of brake pedals were 0% or only non-zero in very limited moments (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 2).
Continued very high accelerator pressure with no braking is how you differentiate SUA from pedal misapplication.

In  recent  years,  there  have  been  numerous  out-of-control  accidents  of  electric  vehicles.
Occasional fault of electronic control unit caused by  electromagnetic interference
External  electromagnetic  interference  refers  to  that  caused  by electromagnetic  radiation  of  various  electrical  facilities  including  the  high  voltage  transmission  line, broadcasting  TV  devices  and  radio  communication  equipment  as  well  as  natural  phenomena  such  as lightning.

Electromagnetic  wave  interferes  the  electric  control  system  of  automobile  through  wiring  harness and  car  body to  make  it  hard  to  perform  or  even  send  wrong  instructions leading  to  wrong  actions  of various  actuators,  affecting  the  safety,  reliability  and  stability  of  automobile  driving.  The electromagnetic  interference  affects  the  automobile  electronic  control  system  mainly  in  two  ways:  one is  to  affect  the  input  signal  of  the  sensor  of  the  electronic  control  system,  causing  distortion  and resulting  in  electric  control  signal  where  the  ECU  output  does  not  match  the  driver's  intention,  which leads  to  the  wrong  operation  of  the  actuator;  the  other  is  to  interfere  the  ECU  output  signal  to  result  in its deviation,  misleading the operation of  the actuator.

For now, there is no electric PU truck that can match the range of a diesel. That will change with time.
Probably true, but it will not be an Electric engine in an EV that replaces diesel. Theres some other type of combustion engines that are interesting and in development. hydrogen is another possibility but they use electric engines and if depend on similar computerized tech will also be prone to going out of control and killing people.

Tesla updates its Autopilot dog house and makes a cabin improvement with new update

:...HVAC IMPROVEMENTS FOR WARM WEATHER

With Summer just around the corner for us in the Western Hemisphere, 2024.20 is offering a better HVAC performance that will make the cabin more comfortable.

The AUTO climate mode will be improved to help cool down the cabin more efficiently but also at a faster pace. It will also maintain comfort at lower noise levels, as A/C fans at full speed can be loud and annoying.

Tesla has used cabin pre-conditioning to help get the interior to a more reasonable level before entering. Nothing is worse than getting into a car that hasn’t been cooled down during the Summer months, so this change will surely be appreciated by owners...."

How many billions of ICE vehicles have been produced versus a few million EVs? The articles point is that all automotive transportation is a hazard and doesnt specifically go after internal combustion or EV. I post on average 2-3 out of control EV accidents a week that actually make the news. If there were 100x more EVs on the road there could easily be more than 500x more accidents because more vehicles on the road the greater the chance of getting into an accident. Then you have to factor in that as more EVs hit the roads, they are more apt to drive through magnetic fields emanating from the surface and thus could suffer glitching. These accidents are less likely to happen in ICE, particularly less computerized ICE vehicles. Autonomous tech will never be safe because the tech depends on computers that are prone to glitching due to EM radiation.

ROCKS AND SOIL ELECTRIFIED BY THE SUPERSTORM: Across the USA on May 10th and 11th, sky watchers marveled at bright displays of aurora borealis during the biggest geomagnetic storm in decades. Little did they know, something was also happening underfoot.

Strong electrical currents were surging through rocks and soil. The biggest voltages along the US eastern seaboard and in the Midwest were as much as 10,000 times normal. A map from NOAA and the US Geological Survey shows some of the 'hot spots' during the early hours of May 11th:

https://spaceweather.com/images2024/24may24/4p8volts_crop_strip.jpg

Basically when the rocks and soil becomes electrified it creates magnetic fields. Those fields go upward from the surface electrifying ALL conductive materials passing overhead. Picture a Tesla driving by passing through one of these fields which happen to be just the right frequency; yes to cause these abnormal events circumstances have to be just right otherwise this would happen severely everytime there is/has recently been increased geomagnetic activity. Most of the time the passing Tesla does not experience anything or may experience some minor abnormalities in its computers leading to errors usually easily fixed by a soft reset.
That abnormal circumstance then causes induction event that leads to glitching in one or more of Teslas computers from its main computer down to its control units leading to sudden acceleration events and or veer events where the Tesla suddenly veers uncontrollably off the road into its favorite targets trees & powerpoles..sometimes buildings. Its a known phenomenon called Electromagnetic Interference and is believed by some researchers to cause SUA events in EVS (study below).
In addition to this, these surface based EM fields cause the underbelly of the Teslas to electrically conduct leading to enhanced rusting and i believe Teslas Whompy Wheel phenomenon caused by the Hutchison Effect. Hutchison Effect is not well understood in public realms but it can cause metals to experience various failures from fracturing to breaking to softening and even turning to dust; think of this like process of turning to dust as rusting at an extremely accelerated pace. This is why Teslas only a few days old can experience Whompy Wheel issue like what the star of Dinsey's live action Aladdin movie experienced 3 days after receiving his Tesla. According to Reuters this has happened to tens of thousands of Teslas. The study about EMI causing SUA in EVs is posted below along with most of the material i have showcasing Hutchison Effect and Teslas.

The computer errors from outer space
(Elon Musk: Model S not a car but a ‘sophisticated computer on wheels’)

When computers go wrong, we tend to assume it's just some software hiccup, a bit of bad programming. But ionising radiation, including rays of protons blasted towards us by the sun, can also be the cause. These incidents, called single-event upsets, are rare and it can be impossible to be sure that cosmic rays were involved in a specific malfunction because they leave no trace behind them.

And yet they have been singled out as the possible culprits behind numerous extraordinary cases of computer failure. From a vote-counting machine that added thousands of non-existent votes to a candidate's tally, to a commercial airliner that suddenly dropped hundreds of feet mid-flight, injuring dozens of passengers
Plus, since giant ejections from the sun can sometimes send huge waves of particles towards Earth, what's called space weather, an unnerving prospect looms: we could see much more disruption to computers than we're used to during a massive geomagnetic storm in the future
With the rise of self-driving car technology, it's possible that computer systems on these vehicles could malfunction due to cosmic rays. What if, during an automated trip, imagery from a camera mounted at the front of the car became corrupted and the on-board computer failed to spot a person walking out in front of the vehicle?
However, the research is yet to be published and he says he's not allowed to reveal what the starting level of accuracy was during the experiments.

Such interventions could make self-driving cars of the future safer but they wouldn't eliminate the possibility of a cosmic ray causing other problems. And this raises an interesting conundrum for insurers.

"In a world of fully autonomous vehicles, how can you prove the accident happened because of cosmic rays?" says Rech. "That is very challenging. I mean, it's impossible, by definition." In ambiguous cases, disputes over whether a human or technology manufacturer – or space weather – was at fault might be difficult to resolve
Impossible to prove but can and does happen. Can even be emulated in a lab setting.

Ya that study includes the damage done by EVs which require massive mining operations and tire production to maintain. Not only does the production of EVs pollute more than the production of ICE vehicles, EVs pollute more than their ICE counterparts due to how quickly they burn through tires. Tire pollution is worse than ICE exhaust. EVs are also more deadly on the roads as they are more prone to go out of control and/or spontaneously combust due to their computers glitching and thus represent a hazard to the greater public.

Despite the widespread harm caused by cars and automobility, governments, corporations, and individuals continue to facilitate it by expanding roads, manufacturing larger vehicles, and subsidising parking, electric cars, and resource extraction.

EVs pollute more and cost more due to excessive tire wear. Consider having to replace your tires 1-2 times a year instead once every 5 years or so.

Electric vehicles release more toxic emissions, are worse for the environment than gas-powered cars: study

Electric vehicles release more toxic particles into the atmosphere and are worse for the environment than their gas-powered counterparts, according to a resurfaced study.

The study, published by emissions data firm Emission Analytics, was released in 2022 but has attracted a wave of attention this week after being cited in a Wall Street Journal op-ed Sunday.

It found that brakes and tires on EVs release 1,850 times more particle pollution compared to modern tailpipes, which have “efficient” exhaust filters, bringing gas-powered vehicles’ emissions to new lows.

Today, most vehicle-related pollution comes from tire wear.
Electric vehicles are often heavier than regular gas-powered cars due to the weight of their engines, which can reach 1,850 pounds. The heavier engines place extra weight on the tires and cause them to wear out faster, according to the study. A 1,100-pound engine can cause more than 400 times the emissions as direct exhaust emissions.

Particle pollution from tires is the biggest contributor to vehicle-related emissions.
I have a hard time believing its simply weight that causes EVs to go through tires at, sometimes, an excessive pace. They are not that much heavier to cause the vehicles to go through tires in as little as 5k miles. My guess is it has something to do with the EM radiation that comes off EVs coupled with the metals in the tires.

“But you have this downside of EVs that increases particle pollution. Air pollution is about what we breathe and the health effects,” Molden said, assuring that the toxins in tires have much less impact on climate change than they do on “what we eat and are ingesting.”

Increased exposure to these toxins “can increase the risk of health problems like heart disease, asthma, and low birth weight,” according to the New York Department of Health, which noted that pollution from sources including vehicle exhaust can travel long distances from its source and still cause health issues at unhealthy levels.

“A lot of it [chemicals] goes into the soil and water, affecting animals and fish. And we then go and eat the animals and fish, so we are ingesting tire pollution,” Molden added.
New tires every 7,000 miles? Electric cars save gas but tire wear shocks some Florida drivers

But after less than 5,000 miles of driving around his Boca Raton neighborhood, Semel was shocked to find some essential — and very expensive — parts were already wearing out. The tires. “If somebody looked at me and said, Mr. Semel, you are going to love this car but in about 7,000 miles you will have to pay 1,400 or 1,500 dollars to replace the tires, I wouldn’t have bought the car,” Semel said. For many drivers of EVs in Florida — the nation’s second largest market for electrical vehicles — premature tire wear has become an unexpected black mark on vehicles promoted as a green climate-friendly option to gas-gulping cars.
At EV Garage Miami, a Sweetwater repair shop that services 90 percent electric vehicles, lead technician Jonathan Sanchez said tires are the most frequent thing customers come in about — no matter what model or make of EV they’re driving. Tire mileage can vary widely of course, but he said he frequently changes EV tires at just 8,000 to 10,000 miles — a fourth or even fifth of typical tire wear on a gas-burning car.
Not even better for the environment. The level of the con game associated with Tesla is crazy.

APA CONCERNED ABOUT ELECTRIC VEHICLES

We're absolutely convinced we haven't heard the last on this subject," he said. "Lithium-ion is just not that stable. We predict that as electric vehicles get older, ones using that technology will be more prone to catch fire.".
"It's a worry for us," he said. "Our hope, long term, is that lithium-ion is replaced with something that's more stable."
Iny said the APA still recommends EVs with lithium-ion batteries, adding, "but we are aware the situation could go sideways."
We know lithium is unstable and will kill people. That seems acceptable in their minds....
New EVs seem just as likely to catch fire because EM radiation causes overcharge/discharge of lithium batteries leading to thermal runaway. This is just as applicable to those energy storage facilities like the one that has been burning for weeks in San Diego, CA.

Evacuation warning lifted in Otay Mesa battery storage facility fire

The fire at Otay Mesa’s Gateway Energy Storage facility that has smoldered for nearly two weeks has begun to settle down, prompting Cal Fire to lift a remaining evacuation warning for the area on Tuesday.

In a final update posted to X, formerly Twitter, Cal Fire said crews remain actively engaged in monitoring fire risk as the storage facility’s managers and contractors work to stabilize the site’s lithium-ion batteries, which are believed to have been the source of the fire.

Cal Fire officials noted there has been no instances of thermal runaway — or a chain reaction in a lithium-ion battery causing it to create heat faster than it can dissipate, which can lead to a fire — over the last three days.
Fires been burning for two weeks now. They hope things are under control but the next geostorm will likely reignite this fire.

Tuesday's Energy Absurdity: The Rapacious Copper Needs of Renewable Energy, Explained

David Blackmon
May 28, 2024

Writing his X account, X user John Lee Pettimore summarizes the findings in a new study published by the International Energy Forum on copper needs for the energy transition:

A normal Honda Accord needs about 40 pounds of copper. The same battery electric Accord needs 200 pounds.

Onshore wind turbines require about 10 tons of copper, and offshore approx. 20 tons.

The world will need to mine 115% more copper than has been mined in all human history just to meet “business as usual.”

This would meet our current copper needs and support the developing world without considering the green energy transition.

Six new large mines need to come online every year by 2050 to meet global copper demand, but the problem is it takes about 20 years between discovering a new copper mineral deposit and getting a permit to build a mine.

None of this takes into consideration the upgrades to the electrical infrastructure needed to "electrify the world by 2050.”

In short electrifying the world by 2050 is a politician’s pipe dream that will never happen.

[End]

He’s right.

Tesla Model S Plaid races $600k Lamborghini Revuelto

"...As could be seen in carwow’s tests, the Revuelto actually struggles to beat the five-seat family sedan. Quarter-mile drag races ended in the Model S Plaid’s favor, and even some half-mile rolling races ended with the Tesla on top. The Revuelto did win a 1/2 mile-race, but it took ideal, specific conditions before the hybrid supercar was able to beat the Model S Plaid.

The Lamborghini Revuelto definitely seems like the ideal flagship car for the Italian supercar company. Its striking, angular design, ferocious speed, and thrilling sound provide a unique driving experience. This experience, however, comes at a price, as the Lamborghini Revuelto starts at over $600,000. That’s several times more expensive than the Tesla Model S Plaid, which starts at $87,990.

FL Tesla Kills One in “Veered” Crash

Investigators said the driver of a 2024 Tesla Model 3 was traveling eastbound on State Road 84 approaching Bonaventure Boulevard. As the Tesla entered the U-turn lane to proceed under the Interstate 75 overpass, the driver somehow lost control and drove off the roadway, striking the support column for the I-75 overpass, according to BSO.
A little more detail on the accident on Saturday morning. Looks like the Tesla glitched and veered or stopped turning and drove straight into this support column.

FSD may take years, but having driven it for 3 weeks now, this one is very different. I no longer doubt it will ever work. It will indeed work. Yes, it still has a ways to go, but is light years beyond the one I used last summer. All the rest is just the normal MSM FUD and is junk. We have heard this nonsense for years and it has not happened.

Tesla delivery center in Beijing records its highest delivery volume yet

"...According to registration data, Tesla had 13,800 new registrations in China during the week of May 13 to 19, up about 41 percent from the roughly 9,800 the week before that. From January to April, Tesla China sold roughly 163,841 vehicles domestically in China, though the company also continues to export vehicles from its Gigafactory Shanghai to a number of other countries...."

Person dies after Tesla crashes, bursts into flames in Weston

FORT LAUDERDALE — A person is dead after a Tesla crashed and burst into flames in Weston early Sunday morning.

Around 3:30 a.m., Broward Sheriff's Office deputies and Fire Rescue were called to a vehicle fire near Bonaventure Road and State Road 84.

When they arrived, emergency crews found a Tesla "fully engulfed" in flames. Investigators told CBS News Miami that the car was involved in a single-vehicle crash.

Crews were able to put out the flames but unfortunately, the driver died.
Sounds like possible out of control veer event combined with SUA if the batteries were suffering thermal runaway before the accident. It'd be interesting if out of control Tesla accidents ramped up the second half of 2024 the way it was very active the first half of 2023. Usually see this type of thing around the equinoxes (sun is going through a polar flip event). For instance if accident activity is high before Spring equinox, it'll be reduced significantly post equinox for the next few weeks. Then in the Fall in the few weeks before the equinox accident activity is low but afterwards its higher. Then the following year the opposite is true with more activity before Spring and Fall equinoxes and far less afterwards. This is how we know that its more than correlation as this has happened every year ive tracked this for the last 3 years. 2021, 2022, 2023 into spring this year. There was 3 out of control accidents on March 3rd and not another one until the 15th. The reaming 6 out of control Tesla accidents occurred between the 15th-31st.
This seems to be tied to the Russel-McPherron Effect.
What has changed, started the second half of last year, is out of control accidents dropped from an average of 17 a month to about 10-11 instead of increasing YoY like it usually does. Thus 2023 saw a far lower accident rate growth compared to 2022. Ive wondered if this is connected to solar polar flip events. It looks like we are at solar maximum now which means we are about complete or have complete the flip.

Still too early to say as May had increased solar activity complete with the largest geostorm we've had in a couple decades. Not surprising out of control accidents are up in May. The power of the storm was less than half the 1989 event that knocked out power in Quebec Canada. More on this below if interested.

Electric car drivers face astronomical costs to replace tyres

“I think more people should be aware that EVs have an appetite for tyres and they won’t last long,” he said.

“When I was working I was regularly doing 45,000 miles a year. If I had this car then, I’d be faced with paying £300 six times a year just to replace the rears, which would be astronomical.”

Mr Bassett said he will now think twice about buying an EV in the future due to his experience with premature tyre life. His front pair are now almost in need of a change after surviving only marginally longer than the rears.

The strain on EV tyres comes as a result of both the extra weight and higher torque, the twisting power that launches a car from a standing start.

More likely Tesla gets cut off from Shanghai after China goes for Taiwan than BYD entering the US market. That will really kill Teslas margins/profits and turn cash flow negative.
