SiriusXM to Broadcast 2012 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX Live from Austin, TX on Nov. 18

NEW YORK, Nov. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) will offer its subscribers live coverage of this weekend's anticipated 2012 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX, the first FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP race to be run in the United States since 2007.

The 2012 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX will take place this Sunday, November 18, at the new Circuit of the Americas road course in Austin, Texas.  SiriusXM's broadcast will begin at 2:00 pm ET/1:00 pm CT on Sirius channel 92 and XM channel 208 and will feature turn by turn coverage from start to finish, plus pre- and post-race commentary.

Subscribers with SiriusXM Internet Radio access can also listen to the race broadcast on the SportsZone channel on the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for smartphones and other mobile devices and online at SiriusXM.com.

Going into the 2012 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX, this season's penultimate race, reigning champion Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing holds a close 10 point lead over Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, a two-time champion in the sport.  Vettel has won four of the last five races and is pursuing his third consecutive drivers' championship.
