Jarvis plc (the 'Company') reports that on 15 January 2010 and 20 January 2010 
it received correspondence from Gartmore Investment Limited attaching a form 
TR-1 'Notification of Major Interest in Shares' stating that following a 
transaction during the previous month on 14 December 2009 Gartmore Investment 
Limited had an indirect interest in 20,948,071 ordinary shares in the capital of 
the Company representing 9.821% of the issued share capital of and voting rights 
in the Company.
