                            EXCEL AIRWAYS GROUP PLC
                           Shareholding Notification

Excel Airways Group Plc announces that on 26 April 2004, it received notice of a
transfer of 2,400,000 ordinary shares of 5p each from Libra Holidays Group
Limited to Fidecs Trust Company Limited, the trustee of an employee benefit
trust established by the Company at a price of #1.02 per share. Following this
transaction Libra Holidays Group Limited is the holder of 34,989,566 ordinary
shares representing 36.4% of the issued share capital of the Company and Fidecs
Trust Company Limited holds 9,712,446 shares representing 10.1% of the issued
share capital of the Company.
