Greenland Minerals: Rare-earth mining possible

The election doesn’t totally foreclose the possibility of rare-earth mining in Greenland.

The IA party would be open to a referendum on the project, if any of its potential coalition partners insisted on one as a condition for joining the government, Ms. Larsen said: β€œA referendum is something that could be one.”

And the party isn’t opposed to the development of a second, more remote rare-earth deposit in the south of Greenland.

after watching the 'anti-mining' effort ramp up and help drag the share price back down, I sold everything at 20-21 cents. So managed to lock in at least half of the gains I had vs what I had at 28 cents... And I knew the anti-mining enviros would be looking to pull out all the stops to halt this project..

So now, I watch and see what happens. With an election scheduled for Apr 6th (if I got this date right), one has to expect the enviros to be running a full anti-mining propaganda effort. And of course, look to them to TARGET the politicians up there in Greenland as well if they 'dare' to support the mine/permit effort.

Yep, sad to see, but oh so damn predictable.. and if this stays above 10 cents, I will be surprised. And if it goes back under 5 cents, I will likely buy a bunch just to see how the vote works out.. or be watching the news up there with a buy order setup ready to go on election day..

Greenland Minerals Ltd (β€˜GML’ or β€˜the Company’) would like to provide an update on the status of
the reviews of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Kvanefjeld rare earth project. The
Company has received notification from Greenland’s Environmental Agency for Mineral Resources
Activities (EAMRA) to advise the review process is near completion. EAMRA has advised that there will
be minor delay to their scheduled completion date of August 26th but has clarified that this is not a
result of any unexpected issues with the EIA.
The review processis being undertaken by EAMRA’s main advisors, the Danish Centre for Environment
(DCE), who have advised EAMRA that they aim to complete the reviews as soon possible, in
accordance with their quality assurance framework. EAMRA has emphasized that there has been very
positive collaboration during the review-revision process and reiterated that GML has supplied all
necessary material for the finalization of the review. The Company has been advised that the reviewrevision process is expected to be concluded in mid-September.
Greenlandic and Danish translations of the EIA report are progressing well. The Company looks
forward to updating on the timing of a public consultation period following completion of the EIA
review process and translations.
About the Kvanefjeld Project
The Kvanefjeld Rare Earth Project is one of the most significant and advanced emerging rare earth
projects globally. The Project is unique with respect to its favourable metallurgy and forecast
production profile across all commercially important rare earths. Kvanefjeld is located near existing
infrastructure in southern Greenland with year-round direct shipping access to the project area.
Rare earth elements are critical to the electric vehicle revolution, as well as many other energy
efficient applications. The Kvanefjeld Project is forecast to be a globally significant producer of all
commercially important rare earth elements including neodymium, praseodymium, terbium and
dysprosium, over an initial 37-year mine life. These rare earths are used to make high powered
permanent magnets that are utilised in electric vehicles, along with many other applications.
Kvanefjeld is well-placed to meet the major surge in rare earth demand that will be generated by the
transition to electric vehicles, along with growth in renewable energy.

Looking back over the past years of price runs and retreats I see it falls quit severely after a sharp price rises. This was during their exploration phase. The company, however has submitted all the really important economic, social & environmental reports. So this attracts mining analysts, Who may have published coverage to their clients bring this price run, as the company moves toward executing its mining plan we could see an increasing price. I’m waiting for a good re-entry point, hopefully, maybe 20% retreat.

interesting to see it less than 10 cents

with the permits applied for
with Greenland appearing like it is interested in expanding its 'industrys' (ie, more miner friendly (reportedly))
with rare earth minerals the primary target (ie, there will be some level of demand for)

wondering if because its supported by a Chinese entity if thats one of the reasons its holding less than 10 cents? Or is it because folks are waiting for the permits to be approved 1st..

disclaimer: just got in a little over 10 cents (after commissions), intend to add more, but curious as to why the price can't get any traction, unless its going to be a heck of a day IF they announce they get their permits approved

Thnx for the heads up. Greenland fell off my radar. I’ve remarked it as a favorite. I’ll keep an eye on it. Chart shows divergence on the RSI and MacD however. If it falls below the 50dma, which I’m betting it will, a better pps is coming.

I honestly don't know. Was on the road all day yesterday, and wasn't paying much attention as I had an unanticipated car repair to deal with. I think several of the financial newsletters have been promoting rare earth stocks because of all this mess with the Chinese and their control of so much of the existing capacity.

Been holding this stock for at least a year now with a minor loss. This China business has given me some hope on the rare earth front, and now there are some suggesting that uranium could also create a positive upside.

If anyone is following. Greenland just had a election. Where a heavy pro mining government has been put in place. Votes of confidence from the Greenland minister minerals director as he is confident in the projects funding. With 90% of the paperwork in place. We are ready to set sail. Full updates can be found on FB group greenland investors club. I made this page as a listing of articles and conversations because of the shear lack of news in us market.
