Most likely yes, as with all bankruptcies the common shares are the very last in line for distribution, and in all of those cases the common shares are considered a burden to either the reorganization (CH 11) or liquidation (CH 7) and are consequently cancelled.

They only did that so they can remain in business during the process of turning it over to their lenders. Had they filed Chapter 7, they’d be shutting down completely.

Looks like they filed for ch 11 (reorg) instead of ch 7 (liquidation) so maybe there's a glimmer of hope. Guess gotta wait and see..

There’s a chance, but any buyer would have to offer more than they owe for shareholders to see any recovery, and if it was worth that, they wouldn’t be bankrupt.

They are turning the business over to their lender, but is there a chance that the business will find a buyer? Or will the lender sell off all assets?
