Putting this on my watch list and will update the ibox since it has the wrong chart displayed, I'm beginning to do more research into mining in West Africa.

IT is something of a metallurgical mystery, but there are now two types of gold - hot gold and cold gold. The hot stuff is found in West Africa...

The Transaction increased from $27.7 million to $28.7 million to cover certain costs associated with securing the rights to the airborne geophysical survey in Equatorial Guinea (the "Survey") in which Ivory has an interest, through a wholly-owned subsidiary.

If Ivory is a private company, what party is the wholly owned subsidiary? - supposedly this is Sillenger Exploration Corp. which is a public listed company. To benefit from actions based upon survey results would you invest in Brilliant or Sillenger Exp Corp?

Brilliant Mining Corp.: Ore Deliveries Unaffected Lanfranchi Nickel Mine, Kambalda District, WA
Monday June 16, 11:51 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 16, 2008) - Brilliant Mining Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BMC - News; "Brilliant" or the "Company") wishes to advise that the recently announced disruption to both the gas supply in Western Australia (WA) and BHP Billiton's nickel smelting operations at Kalgoorlie should not result in any business interruption for the Company's 25% owned high-grade Lanfranchi Nickel Mine, Kambalda District, Western Australia.

Electricity at Lanfranchi is supplied and distributed under contract from BHP Billiton. BHP Billiton has advised the Company that the supply of electricity to the Lanfranchi Mine is unlikely to be affected as a result of the current disruption to the gas supply.

BHP Billiton announced on 12 June 2008 that as a result of a deterioration of the Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter furnace it would be bringing forward a planned furnace rebuild. The duration of the rebuild is estimated to be approximately four months. During this period the Lanfranchi Mine will continue to deliver ore to BHP Billiton's Kambalda Concentrator and BHP Billiton has advised the Company that at this stage it does not foresee that ore deliveries to the Kambalda Concentrator will be affected.

Brilliant Mining starts commercial production at Deacon

2008-03-31 07:07 MT - News Release

Mr. John Robins reports

BRILLIANT MINING CORP.: PRODUCTION COMMENCES 18 MONTHS AFTER DISCOVERY AT HIGH-GRADE DEACON OREBODY LANFRANCHI NICKEL MINE, KAMBALDA DISTRICT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Brilliant Mining Corp. has commenced commercial production from the recently discovered high-grade Deacon orebody at the Lanfranchi nickel mine, Kambalda district, Western Australia.

Key point summary (100-per-cent basis):

* Commencement of production at Deacon with a probable reserve of 1.7 million tonnes grading 2.54 per cent Ni for 43,000 tonnes (95 million pounds) contained Ni metal;
* Deacon orebody -- 18 months from discovery to production;
* Deacon will significantly contribute to the ramp-up in production at the Lanfranchi nickel mine targeted at 400,000 tonnes grading 2.65 per cent for 10,500 tonnes (23.1 million pounds) Ni metal for calendar 2008.

The Deacon orebody -- a success story

The Deacon orebody was discovered in September, 2006, and subsequent drill delineation, resource estimation, reserve modelling and capital development were completed in 18 months. The Deacon orebody now represents 70 per cent of the proven and probable reserves for the entire property. This highlights the overall exploration potential for the project and the ability to bring a new discovery into production within a short time frame.

Planned increase in production at Lanfranchi mine

The company announced a preliminary production forecast (see news release in Stockwatch dated May 29, 2007) for the high-grade Lanfranchi nickel mine and remains on track to achieve targeted production levels. The commencement of mining from Deacon signals a major milestone for the Lanfranchi mine as the scales dramatically shift from capital development toward production with four out of five scheduled orebodies now in production. An updated production forecast is currently under way and expected to be finalized by the end of the second quarter 2008.

Brilliant Mining drills conductor at Lanfranchi mine

2008-01-30 06:37 MT - News Release

Mr. Mike Sieb reports

BRILLIANT MINING CORP.: SIGNIFICANT CONDUCTOR IDENTIFIED ON NORTHERN OVERTURNED TRAMWAYS DOME LANFRANCHI NICKEL MINE, KAMBALDA DISTRICT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Brilliant Mining Corp. has provided an update on exploration activities along the Northern Overturned Tramways dome. The most recent drilling targeting the overturned basalt-komatiite contact has returned a significant off-hole geophysical conductor, including semi-massive sulphides and additional down-hole electromagnetic (DHTEM) anomalies.

Highlights of the program include:

* Significant off-hole DHTEM conductor identified (hole TD8039);
* High-grade semi-massive nickel sulphides intersected on the overturned basalt-ultramafic contact;
* Aggressive $2.5-million exploration program planned on the Northern dome in 2008;
* Two high MgO channel facies zones confirmed.

"These recent results continue to reinforce the significant exploration potential that the overturned northern limb of the Tramways Dome represents," states John Williamson, chief executive officer of Brilliant Mining, "and is directly reflected in the aggressive level of exploration set for 2008."

The recently completed drill program was designed to test, by a combination of drilling on 100-metre-spaced sections and down-hole electromagnetic (EM) surveys, a 1.5-kilometre-wide section (389900mE to 391400mE) across the overturned Tramways dome area. Site geologists believe this region of the Tramways dome is most likely to contain the overturned continuation of the Helmut/Deacon and Schmitz/Winner channel structures which have provided the majority of nickel production for the Lanfranchi project in the past.

Four out of 12 drill holes intersected encouraging evidence of mineralization on the overturned northern limb of the Tramways dome:

* 7.76 per cent Ni over 0.88 m was intersected between 252.3 to 253.18 metres down hole in drill hole TD8036 (Section 390500mE) approximately 20 metres below the overturned basalt-komatiite contact;
* 5.8 per cent Ni over 0.14 m was intersected at the overturned contact in hole TD8040;
* 3.0 per cent Ni over 0.15 m was intersected at the overturned contact in hole TD8039;
* 1.4 per cent Ni over 1.0 m was intersected down hole and below the overturned contact in hole TD8040.

Two drill holes identified geophysical anomalies on the overturned northern limb of the Tramways dome:

* Drill hole TD8039 identified a significant conductor below and to the west of the mineralized intersection;
* Drill hole TD8036 identified a conductor indicating the bulk of mineralization lies below the reported intersection.

In addition, geochemical analysis has identified two zones exhibiting favourable high MgO (30 to 40 per cent), low Ti and Al signatures which are indicative of channel facies ultramafics. The geochemical signature observed is similar to the setting reported within the main Tramways channel structures that are host to the Helmut/Deacon and Schmitz/Winner orebodies.

Future exploration plans for the Northern dome

This initial success of exploration on the Northern dome has encouraged the company to continue drill testing the overturned position of the Schmitz/Helmut channels. Additional drilling is planned farther to the west, toward the projected overturned position of the main Lanfranchi orebody to determine whether the Northern dome model is persistent over the a longer strike length.

In 2008, the Lanfranchi joint venture has budgeted $2.5-million for continuing exploration of the Northern Tramways dome. Follow up of mineralization and DHTEM responses within the two "channel facies" zones together with extra infill drill holes between existing drill sections and deeper drill traverses will be the focus of the next phase of work.

We seek Safe Harbor.

* Comparison of Lanfranchi Nickel Mine Reserves and Resources between Company’s March 2006 and August 2007 NI 43-101 technical reports.

Production Increased

Intensive capital development during 2007 has positioned the Company for a substantial ramp-up in production at the Lanfranchi Nickel Mine. In April, a third mining crew was added to complement the two existing crews, increasing available operational productivity by 50%. The three crews focused on continued production at Helmut South and development of the high-grade Winner and Deacon ore bodies.

Winner commenced production in October 2007 and is the second of five ore bodies planned to come online within the next 12 months
Winner boosts monthly mine production to a record 22,680 tonnes at 2.75% Ni for 623 tonnes of Ni metal in October
Winner ore deliveries total 4,670 tonnes at 5.37% Ni for 251 tonnes of Ni metal in the first month of operation
The Deacon ore body is currently being developed and is scheduled for production in March 2008
Exploration Success

During the 2007 exploration season Brilliant Mining delivered positive results at both the 25% owned Tramways Tenements, host to the producing Lanfranchi Mine in the world class Kambalda nickel district, Western Australia, and the 100% owned Michikamau property in Central Labrador, Canada.

Tramways Tenements, WA

In late 2007, the Company further validated the “Tramways Overturned Dome Model” through drilling. Eight out of the last eight holes intersected the overturned and the unexplored ultramafic-mafic target horizon associated with Kambalda Ni channels, a discovery which essentially doubles the prospective area of the property to host Ni channels. One drill hole intersected 7.76% Ni over 0.88m within the overturned ultramafic sequence approximately 20 metres below the overturned contact horizon, demonstrating the potential to host high grade massive Ni sulphide mineralization.

Michikamau Project, Central Labrador, Canada

Eleven drill holes were completed totaling 1,100 metres during the 2007 exploration program. Multiple near surface nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide drill intersections were encountered and highlighted by a 21.7m intersection grading 0.51% Ni, 0.36% Cu and 0.09% Co at the Juno target; and including 1.3m at 0.71% Ni, 0.45% Cu and 0.12% Co. Early stage exploration to date points to a large and complex mineralizing environment with clear indications for nickel enrichment in the system.

Both project areas are highly prospective for additional discoveries and definitely warrant a significant exploration focus for 2008.

Summary

Our efforts over the past 12 months have laid a solid foundation for growth. 2008 promises to be an exiting and profitable year for Brilliant shareholders as the Company: reaches targeted annualized production rates as the Deacon, Lanfranchi and Schmitz ore bodies are brought on stream; continues exploration programs at Lanfranchi and Michikamau; and pursues other corporate opportunities.

About Brilliant Mining Corp.

Brilliant Mining Corp. is focused on the production, development, and exploration of nickel opportunities world wide. The Company currently has a 25% interest in the producing Lanfranchi Nickel Mine in Western Australia and has 3 active nickel projects in Canada, including the Michikamau property in central Labrador.

STRONG CONDUCTOR DOWN-PLUNGE OF DEACON – SURFACE DRILL PROGRAM PLANNED LANFRANCHI NICKEL MINE, KAMBALDA DISTRICT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA
November 1, 2007

Vancouver, B.C. - Brilliant Mining Corp. (BMC:TSXV) (“Brilliant” or the “Company”) today provided an update on the platform EM drilling and drill plans down-plunge of Deacon orebody at the Tramways Tenements host to the operating Lanfranchi Nickel Mine in the Kambalda District of Western Australia.

Key Point Summary:

Strong geophysical conductor interpreted 50 metres down-plunge of Inferred Resource limit at Deacon
Surface drill program planned down-plunge of Deacon
“The strong geophysical response observed down-plunge of the Deacon orebody provides a high degree of confidence that the mineralization continues below existing drilling and demonstrates the potential to add significant mine life to the operation” states John Williamson, CEO of Brilliant Mining.

Down-Plunge Platform EM Drilling

Platform EM drilling and corresponding geophysical surveys were completed during the last quarter to determine the down-plunge continuation of Deacon from a drill station located at the base of Helmut South.

Hole HS313 was drilled down-plunge of Helmut South along the east side of the projected Deacon Channel resulting in a strong off-hole conductor centred approximately 310 metres down-hole. The conductor was interpreted to be orientated parallel, located above and towards the west of the drill hole (See Figure 1).

Hole HS312 intersected Deacon mineralization between 90 metres and 204 metres and between 270 metres to 280 metres and was surveyed by down-hole geophysics (DHEM) only below 260 metres. Modelling of the geophysical response identified a large conductor oriented sub-parallel and situated above the drill hole trace.

Both conductors are highly conductive and interpreted to represent a continuation of the Deacon Ni sulphide channel thereby extending the mineralization 150 metres beyond the current Probable Reserve limits and 50 metres beyond the Inferred Resource boundary. (See Figure 1)

Contact parallel EM holes are exploratory tools utilized in an underground mine environment to detect the down-plunge continuation of known mineralization well beyond the existing production levels. The aim is for the drill trace to remain in the footwall rock unit and maintain a parallel orientation in proximity to the contact horizon that hosts the mineralization so as to be able to detect the nickel sulphide conductor through a geophysical survey.

Deacon Planned Down-Plunge Surface Drilling

The current Deacon Probable Ore Reserve extends to 513,664mN and down plunge of this Northing. The Indicated and Inferred Resources extend a further 100 metres to 513,555mN. In order to expedite the conversion of resources to reserves, the current plan adopted by the Lanfranchi JV is to drill the down-plunge extensions to Deacon from surface using directional diamond drilling and wedging. This program will involve drilling a single parent diamond hole into the deposit and then using a standard casing wedge to drill any number of daughter diamond holes off the parent hole (See Figure 1). Currently 6 wedge holes are planned. The program is expected to commence in the first half of 2008.

Brilliant Mining Corp.: High Grade Massive Ni Sulphide Intersected on Overturned Northern Limb Tramways Dome

Marketwire

Brilliant Mining Corp.

Brilliant Mining Corp.: High Grade Massive Ni Sulphide Intersected on
Overturned Northern Limb Tramways Dome

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 29, 2007) - Brilliant Mining
Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BMC) ("Brilliant" or the "Company") today announced that
drilling has intersected high grade massive nickel sulphide on the overturned
northern flank of the Tramways Dome. Eight surface drill holes have now been
completed along the Northern Tramways Dome area at the Tramways Tenements,
host to the producing Lanfranchi Nickel Mine, located in the world class
Kambalda Nickel District of Western Australia. All eight holes appear to have
intersected overturned Kambalda Komatiite (ultramafic) sequences below Lunnon
(footwall) Basalts, supporting the Overturned Dome model structure at the
property. Drill hole TD8036 intersected 0.88m grading 7.76% Ni within the
overturned ultramafic sequence approximately 20 metres below the overturned
contact horizon.

Key Point Summary:

- Exploration north of the Lanfranchi Mine supports "Tramways Overturned Dome
Model" - ultramafic Komatiite intersected below the basalt sequence in all
eight recent drill holes

- 7.76% Ni over 0.88m (high-grade Ni massive sulphide) intersected within the
overturned ultramafic sequence approximately 20 metres below the overturned
contact horizon

- Geochemistry indicates Channel Facies ultramafic rocks; a similar setting as
host for the main Tramways' orebodies

- Drilling and down-hole EM surveying is ongoing

"The discovery of high grade massive nickel sulphide and signature ultramafic
channel facies geochemistry north of the existing mine workings is an
extremely positive advancement for the Tramways Overturned Dome model" states
John Williamson CEO of Brilliant Mining "and has significant ramifications for
the future potential of the property."

The drilling program currently underway is designed to test, by a combination
of drilling on 100 metre spaced sections and down-hole Electro Magnetic "EM"
surveys, a 1.5 kilometre wide section (389900mE to 391400mE) across the
overturned Tramways Dome area. Site geologists believe this region of the
Tramways Dome is most likely to contain the overturned continuation of the
Helmut/Deacon and Schmitz/Winner channel structures (See Figures 1 and 3)
which have provided the majority of nickel production for the Lanfranchi
Project in the past.

To date, two drill holes have intersected encouraging evidence of
mineralization on the northern side of the Tramways Dome.

- 7.76% Ni over 0.88m was intersected between 252.3-253.18 metres down hole in
drill hole TD8036 (section 390500mE) approximately 20 metres below the
overturned contact (See Figures 2 and 4); and

- 3.41% Ni over 1.0 metre was intersected between 79-80 metres down hole in
drill hole TD8030 (section 391000mE) on the normal facing contact (previously
released July 10, 2007)

While the mineralization in TD8030 was intersected on the normal facing basalt
ultramafic contact the mineralization in TD8036 was intersected within the
overturned ultramafic sequence approximately 20 metres from the contact
position. Geochemical analysis of holes TD8030, TD8031 and TD8036 has returned
favourable high MgO (30-40%), low Ti and Al signatures which are indicative of
channel facies ultramafics. The geochemical signature observed is similar to
the setting reported within the main Tramways channel structures that are host
to the Helmut/Deacon and Schmitz/Winner orebodies.

At this stage, the massive sulphide zone appears to be due to structural
re-mobilization processes. Such occurrences are not uncommon in Komatiite
complexes in and around Kambalda. The source of the Ni sulphide is commonly
considered and potentially due to the presence of a nearby larger body of
mineralisation. Such instances are observed at Tramways with the re-mobilized
4420 massive sulphide zone in close proximity to the Helmut - Helmut South
orebodies and the Skinner massive sulphide structure in relation to the
Schmitz orebody.

Multi-element analysis of the remaining holes is yet to be returned from the
laboratory. Figure 3 is a plan view of the recent drill hole locations
relative to the overturned ultramafic contact projected to surface.

Sally Malay lifts its nickel output target
The latecomer in the Kambalda nickel mining renaissance, Sally Malay Mining, is setting its sights on becoming a strong mid-tier producer during next year, through increased action at Kambalda and at its Sally Malay mine in the Kimberleys of Western Australia’s far north.
Author: Ross Louthean
Posted: Monday , 22 Oct 2007

PERTH -

Sally Malay Mines Ltd (ASX: SMY) has set a target of ramping up its equity nickel production next financial year to 20,000 tonnes of metal, excluding cobalt and copper by-production. This figure was the target for "The 10 Year Plan" highlighted in the company's recently-released 2007 annual report.

The company's managing director, Peter Harold, told Mineweb today that key projects for this major lift in output are the Deacon mine as part of the Lanfranchi operations at Kambalda, the Copernicus open cut joint venture with Thundelarra Exploration Ltd and exploration and development on the Sally Malay Deeps.

Sally Malay has come a long way since mid 2004 when it commissioned the Sally Malay mine which ships its concentrates through the nearby port of Wyndham to the refining facilities of the Jinchuan Group in China. In fiscal 2004/05 it produced just over 5,000t of equity nickel metal and in 2006/07, with the Helmut South mine at Kambalda more than 12,000t of contained nickel.

As with the other mid tier nickel miners which took over the mines in that region then owned by WMC Resources (the big Kambalda concentrator is now operated by BHP Billiton's regional subsidiary Nickel West), Sally Malay is basking in ever increasing production and the sustained healthy nickel price.

Sally Malay joined two of these companies, Mincor Resources Ltd, Independent Group in producing stellar profits. The third, Consolidated Nickel, a subsidiary of takeover target Consolidated Minerals Ltd, had a fairly ordinary year, in part due to substantial mine development demands.

For 2006/07 Sally Malay had a net profit of $A88.1 million ($US77.52 M), declared a maiden dividend of A12 cents (US10.5¢) and declared cash and receivables of $A134.6 M ($US118.4 M).

Planning is underway to develop the Copernicus open cut in which Sally Malay holds a 60% stake and by mid 2008 it could be delivering an annualised 250,000 tonnes of ore to the Sally Malay mine concentrator, with that deepening mine contributing about 750,000 tpa to the mill.

Harold said whether the open cut (which has adequate ore for about five years mining life) extends into a decline is dependent on more exploration on the plunging orebody and also that a robust nickel price still exists in about five years time.

While there is no final detail, he said it was possible that Thundelarra's 40% share of Copernicus concentrates would also be shipped out through Wyndham to Jinchuan.

Sally Malay's 25% partner on the Lanfranchi operations is Canadian company Brilliant Mining Corporation (TSX-V: BMC) which had a team in Perth this week to discuss exploration and development issues.

This fiscal year's exploration budget for all projects is $A5.1 M ($US4.48 M), including equity participation by partners.

The upgraded Deacon resource to 58,000t of contained nickel and development of the smaller, high grade Winner deposit (6,140t) will see these two projects playing an important role at the Lanfranchi complex over the next two years. Deacon adjoins the Helmut South deposit which has a resource of 11.138t of contained nickel.

Harold told Mineweb that the company was looking at other potential acquisitions and joint ventures. He said that while prices for properties and companies in these buoyant conditions were high, there were still some attractive looking propositions.

Brilliant Mining drills 33 m of 11.3% Ni at Lanfranchi

2007-09-13 07:41 MT - News Release

Mr. Mike Sieb reports

BRILLIANT MINING CORP.: HIGH GRADE MASSIVE NI SULPHIDE ZONE DELINEATED, LANFRANCHI OREBODY

Brilliant Mining Corp. has provided the results of 27 holes from a continuing resource delineation drill program for the Lanfranchi extension in the Lanfranchi nickel mine, located in the Kambalda nickel district of Western Australia. Of particular significance was the delineation of a high-grade massive Ni sulphide zone to the west and alongside the projected extension of the Lanfranchi Ni channel.

Key point summary:

* 27 drill holes reported to date;
* Program extends Lanfranchi Ni sulphide mineralization;
* High-grade massive Ni sulphide corridor identified on the western margin, with best intersections:
o 11.30 per cent Ni over 33.0 metres(i);
o 7.46 per cent Ni over 13.8 metres(i);
o 5.37 per cent Ni over 24.1 metres(i).
* Resource delineation drill program continues.

(i) Preliminary modelling indicates a one- to two-metre true thickness.

John Williamson, chief executive officer and director of Brilliant Mining, stated, "Underground drilling at the Lanfranchi mine repeatedly confirms the continuation of mineralization down plunge of the existing nickel sulphide channels and provides a high level of confidence for a sustained growth in the resource inventory of the project."

To date, 27 holes have been completed as part of the Lanfranchi extension underground resource delineation drill program with assay results reported in the attached table. Nickel sulphide mineralization has been extended 60 metres down plunge from the lowest production level and across widths exceeding 200 metres. The Lanfranchi Ni channel remains open to depth.

Grades and thicknesses encountered in this drill program are in alignment with past production experience in the Lanfranchi nickel channel. Under the previous operator, the Lanfranchi orebody produced 1.4 million tonnes of ore grading 2.32 per cent nickel, along a 1.4-kilometre plunge extent, with true thickness generally ranging from one to three metres. Mining widths of the Lanfranchi nickel channel have historically ranged between 100 to 200 metres.

A high-grade massive nickel sulphide zone has been delineated along the western margin of the drill program. Drill highlights include 33 m grading 11.3 per cent Ni from hole LAN148 and 13.8 m grading 7.46 per cent from hole LAN137. An initial interpretation suggests a very low angle intercept with an estimated true thickness of one to two metres hosted in the basalt and situated marginally below the normal ultramafic/basalt contact target horizon. The massive Ni sulphide zone appears open both up and down plunge and possibly to the west. The Lanfranchi joint venture is currently completing the initial 40-hole resource delineation drill program with the intention to model all the results as a whole for a better understanding of the extent and orientation of the high-grade zone.

Brilliant Mining to begin Ni deliveries at spot prices

2007-08-01 06:47 MT - News Release

Mr. John Williamson reports

BRILLIANT NICKEL PRODUCTION UN-HEDGED; LANFRANCHI NICKEL MINE, KAMBALDA DISTRICT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Brilliant Mining Corp.'s future nickel ore deliveries will be paid at spot nickel prices.

Key point summary:

* All nickel ore deliveries commencing Aug. 1 will be paid at spot nickel (Ni) prices;
* Current spot nickel prices are more than 2.5 times greater than hedged nickel prices currently received.

"Since we acquired the project, we have ramped up mining operations, discovered new nickel resources, eliminated all bank debt and increased the corporate cash treasury; despite the unfavourable nickel hedge contracts we inherited," stated John Williamson, chief executive officer of Brilliant Mining Corp. "With the nickel hedge contracts unwinding and our production profile increasing, the future for Brilliant is very promising."

Brilliant Mining acquired a 25-per-cent interest in the Lanfranchi joint venture in May, 2006. Through the acquisition, the company became party to a series of monthly forward nickel contracts, initially set at $6.75 (U.S.) per pound at the commencement of the contract period and decreasing to $5.50 (U.S.) per pound until the end of the term.

The current spot price of nickel, at over $14.00 (U.S.) per pound, is more than 2.5 times greater than the hedged nickel prices currently received, thus the projected net revenue received by Brilliant per pound of nickel mined will now increase significantly. The company has not entered into any additional nickel hedge contracts at this time.

The project is supervised by John Williamson, PGeo, of Edmonton, Alta. Mr. Williamson, chief executive officer and a director of Brilliant Mining, is the qualified person as defined in National Instrument 43-101.

One of the key points:

The continued strategy at the Lanfranchi mine will be to focus on capital development in the near term to maximize production and revenues in the long term. Currently, two out of three mine crews are committed to the capital development of the Lanfranchi orebody, Winner orebody and Deacon Resource. The incorporation of these new sources of material into the active mine plan will have a dramatic impact on the production profile with nickel metal production projected to double over the next three quarters from current levels.

Winner development

A section of deep weathering was encountered early in the quarter, temporarily slowing the Winner decline development, but advance rates returned to budget during May once the ground conditions improved. Ore delivery to surface from Winner is on track to commence early next quarter. The probable mineral reserve at Winner is 144,003 tonnes of ore at 4.26 per cent Ni for 6,139 tonnes (13.5 million pounds) of Ni metal.

Deacon resource down-plunge drill program

A 500-metre platform EM hole (HS301A) below Deacon from near the base of the Helmut South decline was completed; however, due to technical difficulties, approximately only the top 300 m of the hole was surveyed. The results indicate a very strong geophysical conductor to the bottom of the hole. The extent of the geophysical survey remained within the lower limits of the inferred resource.

Due to the strength of the conductor, two parallel EM drill holes are planned to commence shortly to test the area 200 m beyond the current base of the Deacon resource.

Deacon resource up-plunge drill program

The drilling focus during the quarter shifted to the up-plunge portion of the Deacon channel structure, between Helmut and the currently defined top of the Deacon resource at approximately 514,000 mN. An initial 11-hole drill program comprising 2,030 metres was completed from Stockpile 5 off the Helmut south decline at minus-444 mRL.

The aim of this program was to define the general shape and direction of the channel structure to determine an appropriate position for the development of a dedicated hangingwall drill drive to facilitate resource definition drilling of the up-plunge extent of Deacon.

No significant mineralization was encountered about the ultramafic/basalt contact in any of the Stockpile 5 drill holes, although broad intervals of highly altered, iron-sulphide-rich basalt were intersected in several drill holes. Assays are awaited for these zones. The Stockpile 5 drilling indicates an abrupt shift in the orientation and shape of the Deacon/Helmut channel structure occurring at about 514,000 mN (the previously defined northern limit of the Deacon mineralization).

The Stockpile 5 drill station location was marginally suitable to target the extrapolated position of the up-plunge extent of Deacon due to the oblique nature of the drilling. The interpreted deviation in the Deacon mineralization or ultramafic/mafic contact from the projected trend produced a highly problematic scenario and indeterminate results. Therefore, a detailed assessment of the Stockpile 5 drilling is required before any definitive comments can be made about the up-plunge extent of the Deacon mineralization and before a dedicated drill drive can be positioned.

Lanfranchi

A resource definition drill program has commenced to evaluate the next 80 vertical metres of down-plunge continuation of the Lanfranchi orebody. The program, which will be undertaken from an extended 15K hangingwall drill drive, will comprise 40 drill holes for 4,100 drill metres.

To date, 26 holes (LAN123-148) comprising 2,437 drill metres, have been completed with assay results received from the first 10 holes as summarized in the first table. The best result was returned from LAN127 grading 5.37 per cent Ni over 24.1 metres (true thickness projected to be approximately five to six metres thick; due to oblique angle of drilling). The results to date are in alignment with the historical nature (grades and thickness) of the Lanfranchi orebody and provide continued evidence for the mineralization at Lanfranchi to continue in a similar fashion.

The drill rig currently stationed to perform the reserve/resource delineation drilling of the Lanfranchi extension will intermittently, throughout the drill plan, undertake other more time sensitive and higher priority drill projects, such as the upcoming stope definition drill program on the Winner orebody and the down-plunge platform EM hole at Deacon (see above). The drill will then return to continue the program at the Lanfranchi extension. Therefore results from this program may be released intermittently.

The Lanfranchi orebody, namesake of the Lanfranchi nickel mine, has been mined over a down-plunge length of 1.5 kilometres, with historical production totalling 1.4 million tonnes at 2.32 per cent Ni.

Tramways dome north drill program

Surface drilling to explore the northern side of the Tramways dome for possible overturned channel structures commenced during the quarter. Five drill holes on an east-west fence pattern at 200-metre drill centres have been completed to date, targeting the inferred overturned ultramafic komatiite/mafic basalt contact. All five holes have successfully intersected the overturned contact, providing strong support for the overturned dome model and dramatically increasing the prospective area to host nickel channels within the property boundaries.

Hole TD8030 collared in ultramafic and intersected one metre grading 3.4 per cent Ni on the upper contact. The presence of nickel mineralization proximal to the hinge of the overturned fold highlights the potential for the continuity of mineralization on the overturned contact of the Tramways dome.

The initial program will test a two-kilometre-wide section of the Northern Tramways area between 39,0000 mE and 392,000 mE. The program consists of 17 to 20 proposed drill holes for 8,000 to 9,000 drill metres and will cost approximately $1.2-million (Australian). The targeted nickel-sulphide channels are not exposed at surface and therefore, the Lanfranchi joint venture relies on down-hole geophysics as the primary tool for exploration discovery.

Down-hole geophysics will be performed on all the pertinent current and historic holes to determine the presence of near-hole conductors indicative of areas of mineralized sulphides. Drilling is planned to recommence on the highly prospective overturned contact once the geophysical survey has being completed and the results are compiled.

Schmitz

A program of deep EM holes was completed from the Schmitz hangingwall drill drive during the quarter. Four holes targeted the down-plunge continuation of the Schmitz orebody and a fifth drill hole was drilled to test the projected Skinner position further to the west. Very thin zones of "Schmitz-like" mineralization were intersected in SMT111 and SMT112. Drill holes SMT113 and 114, further down plunge, were essentially barren. SKN105 intersected some weak disseminated mineralization in the projected down-plunge Skinner position. Assay results are pending.

The Lanfranchi project is supervised by John Williamson, PGeol, of Edmonton, Alta. Mr. Williamson, chief executive officer and a director of Brilliant Mining, is the qualified person as defined in National Instrument 43-101.

Maybe pulling some core :)

The 2007 exploration program, combining both ground geophysics and drilling, is currently under way. The 1,500-metre diamond drill program is initially testing the Sword Far North area of the Michikamau property where five grab samples averaging 1.14 per cent Ni, 0.67 per cent Cu and 0.194 per cent Co were collected in 2006 (see news in Stockwatch on Aug. 30, 2006). This year's targets have been refined and selected, based on this year's 100-line-kilometre ground magnetic and electromagnetic geophysical program.
