2009 Live Entertainment Auditions: Live Interviews To Be Held at Cedar Point

SANDUSKY, Ohio, Jan. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Cedar Point, the amusement
park voted the "Best Amusement Park in the World" for a record 11
years in a row, is searching for talented entertainers and
technicians during its annual recruitment tour. Representatives
from Cedar Point will be holding open interviews and auditions to
fill more than 100 jobs in the park's Live Entertainment Division
for the 2009 season. Interested candidates can apply on Friday,
Jan. 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cedar Point Live Entertainment
Office. Cedar Point is located on a Lake Erie peninsula, midway
between Cleveland and Toledo. With thrilling rides, award-winning
entertainment and special attractions, Cedar Point is one of the
most popular amusement parks and vacation destinations in the
country. Cedar Point's Live Entertainment Division has received 22
BIG-E Awards, presented by the International Association of
Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), for excellence in live
entertainment. Attendees will also be considered for positions at
other Cedar Fair Entertainment Company parks such as Kings Island,
near Cincinnati, Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, Mo., and Kings
Dominion, Richmond, Va. Representatives from the Live Entertainment
Division will be looking for: -- Performers - singers,
singer/dancers and singer/musicians -- Musicians - electric/bass
guitar, drum set, tenor saxophone, keyboard and fiddle --
Technicians - stage managers, ushers, sound and light technicians,
stage crew and costume shop personnel -- PEANUTS(TM) characters -
costumed characters and escorts Applicants must be must be at least
18 years of age by May 2009 to audition. Each audition piece must
be limited to 16 bars. Applicants should select music that is
upbeat and illustrates their personality and ability to interact
with audience members. A CD player and piano will be available, but
other instruments and amplifiers will not be provided. Interested
applicants should bring a one-page resume with references to the
audition. Those who cannot audition in person can send audio and/or

run from late April to mid-June, with shows running continuously
