You could've also bought as many shares as you are going to sell at the end of the year 30 days prior. Then sell the FIFO shares for a loss. But still have the same amount of shares that you had to begin with. Only you can take the loss for this year...and perhaps average down at the same time.

Just by lvl2 observation its kinda obvious it was bought quite a bit over the past year so we'll see if they ever file
