LaSalle Bank to Celebrate Grand Opening of Detroit Branch

DETROIT, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The newest full-service
LaSalle Bank branch grand opening is set for Saturday, September
23. The festivities, which will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will
include music, refreshments and entertainment. The new branch is
located at 3670 Woodward Avenue in Detroit. (Logo:

ensemble Zamar IOP will perform between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. during
the grand opening celebration. On September 23, branch visitors may
enter a sweepstakes with a chance to win a Sony(R) 42" HDTV and

in Detroit," said Lenora Johnson, branch manager. "We look forward
to providing the community with the highest level of customer
service." The 3,200-square-foot branch features four lobby teller
stations, and one drive-up ATM. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday; and 9 a.m. to
1 p.m. on Saturday. As part of the celebration, Johnson will
present LaSalle Bank's Sustainability Gift, a contribution to the
health and well-being of the community, and two Community
Involvement Awards given to a local business and an area resident
as part of a commitment to the people and places LaSalle serves. *
Sustainability Gift -- The International Institute of Metropolitan
Detroit will receive $10,000 toward beautifying the Institute's
property with trees and flowers found in different areas of the
world to create an international garden that ties into the mission
of this local non-profit organization. * Community Involvement
Award: Local Business -- Avalon International Breads will be
presented with $500 toward the continuation of the company's
community events, such as weekend neighborhood bike tours, and
regular donations to Crossroads, a local facility for the homeless.

Cass Corridor Neighborhood Development Corporation, will receive
$500 for the organization, which has created more than 250
