I have but you should know this is a high risk stock. There is a high chance you will never get your investment back on this one. I still believe in the story and believe they will be successful but the chances are against us. Invest accordingly. IMO

Vast Enters Into Financing Agreement With Niko Resources for Qara Dagh Block. Funds to Be Used to Deepen the Current Well and to Facilitate Operations Going Forward.
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - August 29, 2011) - Vast Exploration Inc. ("Vast" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:VST) announces that it has entered into an Encumbrance for Financing Agreement ("Financing Agreement") with Nikoresources (Kurdistan) Ltd. ("Niko") in regard to the Qara Dagh Block in Kurdistan. Under the terms of the Financing Agreement Niko will provide financing of US$9,000,000 to be used by Vast to pay outstanding amounts to Niko under a joint operating agreement as well as to fund future expenses related to the deepening of the Qara Dagh well to 4,150 meters. Niko will, additionally, provide financing to Vast in regard to 34.78% of Vast's share of the cost of all operations going forward. In return, Vast will have the obligation, in the event that a commercial discovery is made and produced, to pay Niko an amount equal to the net proceeds of sale associated with an undivided 12% interest in the Qara Dagh Block. Such financing arrangements have been put in place pending Kurdistan Regional Government approval of the sale by Vast to Niko of an undivided 12% interest in the Qara Dagh Block.

The Financing Agreement with Niko remains subject to receipt of approval, if necessary, of the TSX Venture Exchange.

Agree, the market sucks today and the drill results do not portend what we had expected.

I didn't read it as they were finished but thought the deeper they drilled the more bpd they would have. I guess going back and reading it I can see why people would bail but I don't believe it's all doom and gloom. Not what we were expecting, true, but a 50% drop? I loaded up this morning in the .18 range so I may just flip these and keep my core.

The whole market sucks today anyway.

gs, people (including me) were expecting much better results 10,000 bpd or more. What we got was around 500 bpd which is not commercially viable.

Now we have to see if they can find more either by drilling deeper or finding more in the Aalijii.

Until that happens this well is a dud.

July 11 (Reuters) - Shares of Canada's Vast Exploration Inc plunged 60 percent in morning trade after the company said it was unable to maintain the production rate at a well in Iraq during a test.

Shares of the Calgary, Alberta-based company were trading down at 20 Canadian cents on the Toronto Venture Exchange. It was the most heavily traded stock on the exchange, with over a million shares changing hands.

Shares of Niko Resources Ltd , which operates the Qara Dagh well, were down slightly at C$63.19 on the Toronto Stock Exchange while shares of Groundstar Resources Ltd , which has a 6 percent beneficial interest in the block, dived 30 percent to 21 Canadian cents, on the Toronto Venture Exchange.

Vast Exploration, which holds a 37 percent working interest in the Qara Dagh block, said the well produced a maximum of 550 barrels of oil per day and 800 thousand standard cubic feet per day of gas, although these rates were not sustained for the entire duration of the test.

Vast Exploration said the well, drilled to 3,908 meters, could be deepened to an additional 250 meters at the end of the current testing. (Reporting by Amruta Sabnis in Bangalore; Editing by Don Sebastian)

I think that 5c price was a preopen bid ask level. The lowest trade was at 16 cents and now trading at 20 cents.

I'm sorry, maybe I'm stupid but I see no reason for a 50% share price drop. I didn't read anything negative in the report. What am I missing?

In the last two minutes a 10% jump to .55

I'm finally ahead after a year's struggles after first getting in in the low .70s

But now have ten times as many shares. I sold, bought, sold and bought and bought and bought again as my confidence grew and waned. The 2 bucks per share being touted will get me close a million $$! Must admit, I'm a gambler.

I wanted to buy when it was down but had no spare cash. Finally dawned on me at dawn today. Sell something and buy Vast. So I sold my Mart and bought an additional 40% Vast.

Has worked out so far!

Not a typo. Also on a UK site they were talking about similar and higher flow rates at Taq Taq at several wells. ZRW just announced 6,000 barrels a day.

Is that a typo? 25000 would be massive.
