Typo sorry. They are going battery electric and so far not Nikola. Was shocked when I heard how many chargers they have installed across the country.

re AMAZON you noted

They are going all non battery not fuel cell

so if not EV with Battery and not fuel cell - what does AMAZON plan to use - ? ICE with H ?

DNU, Hyzon and Hyundai have hydrogen fuel cell Class 8 trucks. However, in my opinion, the only real competition to Nikola BEV or hydrogen FCEV trucks, are diesel trucks.

I think this was rehashing news from 2022. talks about 11 BEVs in Q2 no mention of FCEVs at all.

Need to find more reputable sources of news like the company itself. Certainly supply chain items (hydrogen tanks and batteries were stated in Q1) are limiting production which is annoying as first mover advantage gets dampened.

Wondering if Amazon has tested the BEV 2.0? They are going all non battery not fuel cell and supposedly have thousand of high capacity chargers installed already, buying back those old BEV 1.0 may prove to be a good idea.

We the Market or ?

It is my recollection that TOYOTA was late to EV cars as it had a mindset on Hydrogen
So now I see - confirm - learn - TOYOTA is doing fuel cell H Class 8

Besides NKLA - who else - which companies - are putting H FUEL CELL SEMIs on the road today ?
(R a lot in test mode - ?)

I assume - know - IVECO is out there with "its" version but who else

I still expect a 10% drop in price regardless and maybe 20% ---- numbers that are sort of mild -- yes mild - for a R/S overall - when done for reasons like this

I do hope they have NEWS when the do the R/S if they got the votes

I voted no -- at least on this round

You are correct! 20 for 1 at 0.50 = $10.00 a share. I now believe it will be 30 for 1 and keeping it at this level or below gives them justifcation to do that. I also believe they will have positive news to release when they do the R/S and buyers waiting to support the stock price.

Share price rounded ------ 50 cents

so for every 20 shares of stock - I get one share of NEW NKLA (post RS)

20 shares of stock today at about .50 cents each is $10 - just the math

are you suggesting that post R/S the stock goes up 20%-40%

most others expect a haircut of say 10-20 percent post R/S

That would mean for 20 for 1 R/S $8-$9
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0

I thimk they want to drop the price below 0.50 to get a 1-30 split!

DNU, thanks for posting the article on the Tesla Semi truck. I noticed that the truck still has a center seating position, which I thought they were considering changing from the original design, since they received negative feedback from truck drivers due to significantly reducing visibility (not being able to peak out of side window), as well as not being able to interact with manned booths such as at ports, security gates, toll booths, etc.
Link to article https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/tesla-impresses-another-new-company-using-its-semi-trucks-we-ve-been-able-to-push-these-tractors-well-beyond-expectations/ar-BB1m62CA

Below I highlighted two contradicting quotes from the article on this topic. The first quote states that truck drivers had to be trained on the unique central seating position of the Tesla truck. Really? Imagine telling a truck driver who's been driving trucks for a living for many years, that they have to be trained to drive an EV truck. Drivers of Nikola's trucks don't have to be trained to drive the trucks. This is because Nikola designed the truck with input from truck drivers.

The second quote makes no sense to me, and does not sound truthful.

Five MB drivers were trained on the unique central seating position and advanced features of the Tesla Semi, which aim to enhance driver visibility and safety.

"The Tesla Semi rises above any other tractor with mobility, center seat configuration, and precise movement that allows the driver to navigate safely," driver Casey Kamp raved.

The e-commerce giant is already using eight of these semi trucks at the port, where regulations require all drayage trucks to have zero emissions by 2035.

well lots of references to โ€œnational accountsโ€ and large fleets in the conference call but don't think they mentioned Budweiser directly. Seems the new CFO is focussed on securing big deals giving up some initial revenue on the first few deliveries. Disappointed we didnt get more details on production numbers and what could be the limiting factor. but they got to 100 in April which would be c 20 for the month. so 60-70 in Q2 will be a nice achievement along with returning BEV 2.0 to dealers/customers

but - I think on a facebook thread? - it seemed like those two are headed to other alternatives than NKLA

agree - if WMT or Amazon or Fed Express or such put in an order - say for 100 trucks - that would be great . My uninformed view - guess is that its 50-50 one of the three will pick NKLA - soon

DNU, Amazon and Walmart already have hydrogen refueling stations (supplied and maintained by Nikola's partner Plug Power) at dozens of their distribution centers all across the US supporting their material handling operations. These will simply need to be upgraded to support refueling Nikola's Class 8 hydrogen FCEV trucks. Both Amazon and Walmart could potentially submit orders to Nikola for hundreds of hydrogen FCEV trucks.

I see more needed - but depends BIG and BIGGER on inbound cash flow from

H truck sales
? income from HYLA - net
? income from BEV if NKLA has a market for 100 or so ALREADY built BEV

current Revenue rate leads to more than 100MM
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0

Agree

(Would be interesting to understand how a customer does this "on their own" - in terms of measuring or guesstimating potential demand for H truck where there is no built up infrastructure)

at least 3 quarters available (at current rate but should start to get more revenues/lower cost per FCEV.

strategy has been to have 12 months cash on hand so may need another $100m raise

I missed that bullet.

I assume GTG have facilities in their depot(s) for hydrogen storage and dispensing.

There will be pockets of leading transport companies starting this way while near port public stations start to get rolled out.
👍️ 1
WeTheMarket WeTheMarket 6 days ago
DNU, what I believe they mean, is that in this recent sale in a new market in NY State, they were able to decouple the sale of hydrogen FCEV trucks from the deployment of new hydrogen refueling stations (as they have had to do so far in other markets, since the hydrogen refueling infrastructure is currently practically inexistent), apparently because the customer somehow found a way to provide their own refueling infrastructure (although not explicitly mentioned), thus they were able to enter a new market with less capital.
