SPARK VCT 3 plc

("Company" or "SVC3")

Cancellation of shares

The Directors of the Company announce that the scheme of arrangement between
the Company and the holders of the SVC3 Scheme Shares (as defined in the
Scheme) under Part 26 of the Companies Act 2006 (the "Scheme") to effect the
merger of the Company and SPARK VCT 2 plc has become effective following the
issue of the Certificate of Registration of Order and Minute by the Registrar
of Companies.

Following the admission to trading of the new ordinary shares in SPARK VCT 2
plc at 8.00 a.m. this morning application has been made to cancel the listing
of the Company's ordinary 1 penny shares (International Securities
Identification Number GB0031102071) on the Official List, effective from 8.00
a.m. on 27 November 2008.
