SPG Media Group Plc announces that on 15 January 2008, the Company's Employee
Benefit Trust ("EBT") purchased 791,448 ordinary shares of 5p at 8.5p per share
to enable it to meet future share awards under the Company's share option
schemes.  The directors of the Company are potential beneficiaries of the
Company's share option schemes.


Following the purchase the EBT holds an aggregate of 2,005,843 ordinary shares
in the Company, representing 2.34 per cent. of the Company's issued and voting
share capital.
