            RECOMMENDED PROPOSALS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF MONSOON PLC
                              BY DRILLGREAT LIMITED

Further to the announcement made on 28 September 2007 of the recommended 
acquisition of the whole of the issued share capital of Monsoon by Drillgreat 
to be implemented by way of a scheme of arrangement (the "Announcement"), 
Monsoon and Drillgreat disclose, in accordance with Rule 8.4 of the City Code 
on Takeovers and Mergers, that they have obtained an irrevocable undertaking 
from Powe Capital Management LLP ("Powe Capital") to exercise (or procure the 
exercise of) the voting rights in respect of the 3,351,907 Monsoon Shares 
controlled by Powe Capital (representing approximately 7.70 per cent. of the 
Independent Scheme Shares at the date of this announcement (and approximately 
1.88 per cent. of the issued Monsoon Shares)) in favour of the resolutions to 
be proposed at the Court Meeting and the EGM.

This irrevocable undertaking extends to any revised offer or offers by or on 
behalf of Drillgreat which is, or are, no less favourable than the offer but 
will cease to be binding in the event of a higher competing offer being made 
for Monsoon.
