                                 Board Changes

                                      and

                                 Share Placing





MKM announces that David Mond, who joined the board in 2005, has indicated his
preference not to serve another full term as a non-executive director and
consequently he will retire from the board at the Company's AGM to be held on 18
October 2007.



The board would like to thank David for his invaluable contribution to the
Company over the past two years and is pleased that David's services will be
retained in a consultancy capacity for a period following the AGM.



In conjunction with this decision, on 28 September 2007 David Mond sold
1,250,000 ordinary shares of 0.5p each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary
Shares") at a price of 9.75p per share through a placing with new and existing
investors ("the Placing").  David retains 2,750,000 Ordinary Shares,
representing 3.91% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.



Brian Smillie, International Managing Director, has acquired 500,000 Ordinary
Shares in the Placing at a price of 9.75p per share and his resultant
shareholding in MKM now stands at 11,500,000 Ordinary Shares, representing
16.33% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

board."
