Oil and gas producer Apache Corp. (APA) has shut the Forties Delta platform in the North Sea for 16 days of planned maintenance, the company spokesman said Wednesday.

The platform, which produces 16,000 barrels of oil a day, was shut May 2, Bill Mintz, director of public affairs told Dow Jones Newswires.

The Forties field is owned and operated by Apache.
