Cancellation of Treasury Shares 
 
Advance UK Trust plc announces that it has, today, cancelled 2,880,862 of its 
own ordinary shares which were previously held in treasury. 
 
Following this cancellation, the Company's share capital consists of 28,186,660 
ordinary shares.  The Company now holds no shares in treasury.  Therefore, the 
total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company remains as 
28,186,660.
