Sherbean Field in South Manzala, Egypt Commences Production

Said Arrata, Centurion's President and CEO is pleased to announce that the
Sherbean field commenced production on October 2, 2003 from the company's South
Manzala Development Lease (Centurion 100% working interest) located in Egypt's
Nile delta region.

Production from the Sherbean field, in addition to production from the Abu
Monkar field which commenced on October 1, 2003, has brought total early
production from the South Manzala fields to approximately 25 million cubic feet
per day. With the addition of the Sherbean production, company-wide production
is now approximately 8,600 boepd.

As previously stated, installation of compression equipment has started, with
completion expected by mid November, 2003, at which time the Gelgel field will
be tied in and total production from the South Manzala Development Lease will
reach the contracted level of 35 million cubic feet per day. At that time, with
all three fields in the South Manzala Development Lease tied in, company-wide
production will exceed 10,000 boepd, a further milestone for Centurion.
