Insurance leader to deploy Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and multiple
custom applications built on the Force.com platform to streamline
front and back offices and boost customer service SAN FRANCISCO,

enterprise cloud computing company, announced today that AIG Edison
Life Insurance in Japan has selected salesforce.com for an
enterprise-wide cloud computing implementation. By implementing
Salesforce CRM and Force.com, AIG Edison intends to quickly
streamline its front and back office business processes and

plans to deploy salesforce.com's Sales Cloud and Service Cloud to
more than 5,000 users, who will have access to these applications
via their iPhones. By managing and sharing prospect information,
opportunities, optimized product plans and up-to-date contracts in
real-time, sales and customer service reps will be empowered to
provide more attentive and timely customer care. Beyond sales and
service, AIG Edison will build applications on salesforce.com's
Force.com platform to manage new contracts and insurance payments.
Moreover, AIG Edison will develop applications for furthering
paperless and cashless business processes and transforming AIG
Edison into a more efficient and environmentally friendly
organization. By moving to the cloud, AIG Edison expects to
dramatically reduce hardware, software and IT systems maintenance
