SumTotal(TM) Systems (Nasdaq:SUMTE), the largest provider of
learning and business performance technologies and services, along
with its Brazilian partner MicroPower, today extended
congratulations to SumTotal customers Datasul, General Motors
Brasil and Bradesco Foundation, for winning the prestigious
e-Learning Brasil Awards. The awards, which recognize outstanding
learning initiatives in the corporate, government and education
sectors, were presented at a June 14 ceremony during e-Learning
Brasil, Latin America's largest learning conference, held this week
in Sao Paolo. Software leader Datasul, GM Brasil and Bradesco
Foundation were chosen from among more than 25 organizations
nominated for their learning implementations. Datasul walked away
with the Gold Award, the top honor in the corporate learning
category. The company uses a SumTotal solution to certify
implementation partners and to train end-users in the use of its
ERP software systems. General Motors Brasil, which won the Silver
Award in the corporate learning category, has implemented SumTotal
to help drive sales, parts and service training for more than 450
dealerships throughout Brazil. Finally, the Bradesco Foundation was
recognized with the Star Award for excellence in the academic
learning category. Bradesco Foundation uses SumTotal to help run a
series of primary, secondary and technical schools, primarily in
low-income areas of Brazil. "We are delighted that our customers
are being recognized for their innovative approaches to
organizational learning, and for successfully addressing real-world
business objectives with strategic learning initiatives and
technology implementations," said SumTotal president, Kevin Oakes,
who delivered a keynote at the e-Learning Brasil conference and
attended the awards ceremony. "The entries from Datasul, GM Brasil
and Bradesco Foundation were outstanding and we are proud to have
played a role in their achievements. Their programs serve as a
strong testimony to the potential of learning to positively impact
