Summit Bank Corporation (Nasdaq: SBGA) announced a quarterly dividend of $.10 per share payable to all shareholders of record on August 21, 2006, to be paid on August 31, 2006. Summit recently announced second quarter 2006 earnings of $1.68 million, or $0.24 diluted earnings per share, compared to $1.35 million, or $0.24 diluted earnings per share, for the second quarter of 2005. Summit's earnings resulted in a second quarter 2006 return on average shareholders' equity of 11.88% compared to 15.58% for the same period last year. The decline in return on shareholders' equity from last year is attributable to the $20.3 million of additional capital raised from Summit's common stock offering earlier this year. Total assets were $656.7 million at June 30, 2006, up 24.4% over the $528.0 million at June 30, 2005, primarily due to the acquisition of Concord Bank, N.A.
