Haggar Names Lanny Levine to Head Private Label Division DALLAS, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Haggar Clothing Co. announced today that Lanny Levine has been appointed senior vice president, managing director of The Horizon Group, the private label division of Haggar. "Success in the private label business depends on three issues: global sourcing capabilities, product leadership, and the ability to keep customers in-stock," stated Frank Bracken, president and chief operating officer of Haggar. "We are excited to have Lanny for this position because his background matches the three keys so well." Levine has been working with Haggar for the past year on global sourcing as well as merchandising and design projects. "His experience in global sourcing and the breadth of his product and customer experience will benefit our customers, and therefore Haggar." Prior to joining Haggar, Levine was executive vice president of Galey & Lord for its China Initiative. Previously at Galey, Levine headed their apparel division that grew to over $100 million in sales of packaged finished garments. Levine also has experience in the denim business as Director of Product Development and Sales for Swift Denim. He led development in fabric and finishing techniques for customers such as Levi Strauss, Guess, Lee, and Gap. Levine spent ten years with the Dockers division of Levi Strauss. He began there as a sales executive managing accounts including JCPenney, Macy's and May Company, and then moved on to product management, leading the introduction of the Dockers Green Label line.
