We are writing to notify you pursuant to the Disclosure of Interests in Shares
(Amendment) Regulations 1993 (SI 1993 No. 1819) of our interest in investment
holdings in the ordinary share capital of Aegis Group plc. Following a sale of
3,263,600 shares on August 14, 2003, accounts managed by Harris Associates L.P.
became the beneficial owners of 118,720,000 shares of Aegis Group plc. This
represents 10.79% of the company and a decrease of 1.19% since our last filing
