Ray Webster, easyJet Chief Executive, said:

"easyJet's performance during July continues the trend predicted in our summer
trading statement. Particularly pleasing is the achievement of load factors in
the mid eighties, which confirms the appeal to passengers of our combination of
attractive fares and convenient airports."

1. In July 2002, Go Fly, as an independent company, carried 645,602 passengers
with a load factor of 87.0%. On a proforma basis, in July 2002, easyJet
and Go Fly carried 1,724,319 passengers with a load factor of 87.6%.
easyJet acquired Go Fly on 31 July 2002. This will be the last month that
figures for the individual airlines are published.

2. Represents the number of earned seats flown. Earned seats include seats
that are flown whether or not the passenger turns up because easyJet is a
no-refund airline, and once a flight has departed a no-show customer is
generally not entitled to change flights or seek a refund. Earned seats
also include seats provided for promotional purposes and to staff for
     business travel.

3. Represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of
seats available for passengers. No weighting of the load factor is carried
out to recognise the effect of varying flight (or "stage") lengths.
