I would never say never, or it can’t be done, but certainly not by these guys. I hear word spread through the boat market and I wouldn’t expect these guys to ever go there nor sell another into the boat market. I think this one is done. I might consider their reluctance to submit to independent testing the final straw, the final unmasking for what this probably is, more like a share selling promotion and not a legitimate energy technology manufacturer, in my opinion anyway.

If UL testing includes in/out power readings, then it will never happen. I am not at all well up on regulatory matters, that is why i say "if". There is absolutely no chance the "technology" can do what it claims and that goes for all devices with a claimed output greater than input, another example is Inductance Energy's "earth engine". As regards all other ASTRA business, i hold no opinion whatsoever as none of it is in my area of expertise.

Another week has passed, another month has passed, without any apparent effort from ASTRA/Holcomb to submit a request to UL Laboratories for a price quote to test and certify the 3 HES devices and get that coveted “UL label”.

It is my personal belief that whole PR ASTRA released was for no other reason than to appease my request.

Each day I believe less and less about the promising claims of ASTRA Holcomb, and I believe more and more that Holcomb has based his system of or erroneously reading the reactive power off the capacitors, which more likely than not, he used to lay his claims about power amplification.

One has nothing to do with the other. Educate yourself

Well we do know for a fact that this HES “thing” will never be installed in any public facility, private building, or any other structure that has active insurance company inspections as HES has documented in publicly released videos they lack the knowledge of the NEC 2020,2021, and NFPA 101 and probably NFPA 70 and probably a dozen other life safety standards aimed at the prevention of killing people through structure fires and electrocution, in my opinion.

I saw this a few years ago in photographs showing blatant dangerous installations of electrical systems in the LaCoste, Texas facility of SHMP. I forewarned investors that SHMP wasn’t building a facility, but rather building the mother of all fires. Few believed me and I was heavily ridiculed on their board for my “basher” thoughts. Less than 100 days later, the building was reduced to ashes. I was not at all surprised.

In my opinion, somebody is going to get hurt or killed by this “thing” that Holcomb et al purports to create electricity, as I believe it to be very unsafe based on the photos and videos I have seen on the internet, in my opinion.

It should be noted ASTRA/Holcomb seem to be dragging their feet or outright refusing to carry through with their own publicly disclosed written intent to submit the HES systems to Underwriters Laboratories for independent testing and certification “The UL Label”

Forget ASTRA showing up at another boat show, their system would never make it through Lloyd’s or ABS or Bureau Veritas classifications. NEVER, NOT EVER

I would say in my opinion, the installation of such a device would be grounds of such magnitude to deny an insurance claim.

In my opinion, these guys are literally playing with fire.

Based on the lack of effort shown by ASTRA/Holcomb to get a UL certification, it isn’t very hard to come up with many reasons why they haven’t already. They haven’t even taken the first step by submission for the price quote that UL will charge them for the testing.

The Holcomb's ridiculous claims of HES Over Unity generators, that they say they
have had running for years, would literally be 1000 TIMES better than any FUSION
power plant.

Free and endless energy, requiring little cost or maintenance, no fuel, and NO radiation or other
hazards to deal with.... And the Holcombs claim they have these devices NOW.

They literally have made FUSION obsolete.

And yet, ASRE has not got ONE large investor, government, University or Corporation willing to support them.

I do not believe their stories of their building being off grid and supplying all energy from the HES system. I was told their building in Florida very much has a meter and connected to the local power grid

Agreed. In the court documents Holcomb states that the contract was for the patent use and no claim performance was included . So what is it, does it work or not? Surely Holcomb's deposition indicates that it is just intellectual property without functionality. None of these things can work, regardless of who designs them, as they are in conflict with the most rigorously tested laws of physics.

Old Holcombs defense in his fraud lawsuit is that he never said it worked. Lol. Old Loudoun hasn’t disclosed his latest judgment either. How can they get away with not disclosing this chit?

There’s a lot to it but the basics are the difference between the spacing on the contacts within breakers, sizing on bus bars, separation and insulating methods of voltages and enclosures below 300 volts and above 300 volts to 600 volts. Above this, it’s best to leave this type of work to very disciplined workers capable of being very focused on their task at hand. 480volts produces an arc-flash 3.5 times the temp of the sun’s surface (10,000/35,000 degrees) 140 dB (A or C weighted) SPL relative 1 meter, and copper expands 27,000 times its original size, so you don’t want to be in the blast region as the rear wall of the enclosure directs the blast outward towards whoever may be standing there. Holcomb appears to just brush off these basic fundamental issues with their statements of any size power and to think that they are developing some grid level projects in Africa is really difficult for me to accept as having any validity of fact.

Even in their 208 3 phase world, one cannot just lay wires on the ground as shown in their video.

There is something fundamentally wrong here, in my opinion.

Thanks, as i said my knowledge of UL is limited despite it's worldwide standard of excellence. Arc-flash is not a term used on this side but i know what you mean: for example to make a direct connection to the 10kv grid in ireland you need to have a proof voltage rating of 125kv and if you don't have this you have to use an interposing transformer- seemed like a rather onerous requirement.

UL would test the differential of the power in/out claim just as it tests the fuel consumption on generators and power output of solar panels and would also test arc-flash potential. I suspect the potential for arc-flash in some of their larger power designs would be immense. Holcomb speaks nothing about this and I honestly think he doesn’t know anything about arc-flash dangers, in my opinion. They leave wires on the ground without any thoughts of complying with NEC or NFPA 70 or even NFPA 101.

I don’t buy their claims unless somehow it’s all related to low amperage 120/208/240

While UL is essential i don't know whether it would detail power in/power out. I have always been under the impression that it only dealt with safety matters but i could be wrong. I had little experience of regulatory matters in my career and this was limited to the requirements for grid tied power plant(g10 in ireland, g59 in the uk)
