The deadline for initial bids in the auction for Hulu has been extended from Wednesday until the end of the week to give interested parties more time to review the video website's financial information, Reuters news agency reported, citing unnamed people familiar with the situation.

The people said Yahoo Inc. (YHOO), Google Inc. (GOOG), DirecTV Group Inc. (DTV) and Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) were among the parties preparing to submit an offer, according to the report.

One of the people close to the sale process said South Korea's SK Telecom Co. (017670.SE) is also believed to be interested, though an official bid from the company couldn't be confirmed, the report said.

It said representatives for all the companies mentioned in the article declined to comment.
