As I noted on my blog yesterday inches of inconvenient truth were falling in Northern England. Here in the South West it feels very nippy indeed. After 16 years of global cooling we have had the wettest summer in eons and now, apparently, face one of the coldest winters in a century. As the Antarctic ice cap reaches record size you would kind have thought that the global warming nutters who have forced the planet to spend gazillions following their wacko religion might shut up. But er no.

Back at the BBC the religion goes unquestioned. Hence the smug bastards at Have I Got News For You tweet out this joke.
“Thanks to magnetic levitation Japan is soon to boast a new fleet of floating trains and, thanks to climate change, so will the South West. “
Ok it is not a bad joke but only if you sort of accept climate change as a given. Which, of course, everyone at the BBC does.
But HIGNFY looks balanced compared to some complete global warming nutters. Let me introduce you to @jorichardskent who saw my article earlier today (HERE) on how we face the coldest winter for a century, minus 20 temperatures by Christmas, minus 3 this week and that several inches of inconvenient truths have already fallen on the Pennines.
Jo, clearly sees snow as a good sign that global warming is here and quickly tweeted back & a conversation ensued as follow
Jo: Inconvenient truth is; Snow needs warmth in the system for evaporation / precipitation & it’s winter
Me: so you see minus 20 degrees & the coldest winter in 100 yrs + snow as proof of #global warming.
Me: to repeat the question: Is -20, coldest winter in 100 yrs & snow as evidence for #global warming or agin it?
Jo: No, it is not “proof”. No single meteorological event is I wouldn’t use #Sandy as “proof” but it’s part of bigger picture.
Aha the high winds, record rainfall and cold of Sandy was down to global warming too. I wonder how long it is before Jo mentions Thatcher and Bush?
Me: big picture is after 16 years of global cooling we have coldest winter in 100 years. What global warming?
Jo: We could trade stats all day. Fact is your tweet was childish to claim winter snow on Pennines disproved climate change.
At that point I thought I had heard the last from someone who reckons that snow is evidence of global warming and who could not be arsed to read the whole article to get chapter and verse on why the snow, minus 20 temperatures etc showed that global warming cultists had just no evidence to back their belief system. But no…
Jo: Are you suggesting that climate is measurable in a 16 year time frame?
Me: no. but 16 years of cooling shows ALL global warming models are WRONG already

At that point I had had enough. Mr Mann is the famed hockey stock loon – see UEA leaked emails and bodged data. The global warming nutter who reckons that snow is a sign of global warming will not be convinced.
Perhaps she should pack her bikini, “Thatcher is Satan” T-shirt and shorts and head off to Moscow where the snow is heavier that at any stage in late November for 50 years.
The computer models predicting huge global warming from 1998 as infinitum have clearly been proved already wrong by 12 years of global cooling. If you are consistently wrong in years 1 to 12 why should we believe your year 13 to forever predictions? At what point will the global warming nutters just admit that a cooling planet means they were WRONG!

At the time, most dismissed GW as a load of bollocks (, but the more reasoned never thought it a bad idea as an efficient means of scaremongering the masses into reducing the World’s overpopulation from consuming the Planet’s depleting oil reserves).
Oh, and while we’re on about it, in the medium term, that ‘depleting oil reserves’ one might want another look into (anyone else noticed that for the last 30 years they’ve been saying that oil will only last about another 45 years)…
