Valero Reports Possible Flaring at Houston Refinery

Valero Energy Corp. said flaring may occur Friday at its
mid-sized Houston refinery.
In a statement posted on the Community Awareness and Emergency
Response line, the company said any flaring would be at the
northwest section of the plant, located on the Houston Ship
Channel.
Although the flares "may smoke or rumble periodically, there is
no cause for concern," it told the community information line.
