Hasbro Inc. (HAS) will partner with Adidas AG (ADDYY, ADS.XE) and Adidas' Reebok to launch an apparel and footwear line next September based on Habro's Nerf, which makes popular toy weapons.

John Frascotti, Hasbro chief marketing officer, announced the new clothing venture at an analyst day at its Rhode Island headquarters. The line will launch on Sept. 10, and coincide with the annual September launch of a next generation Nerf Blaster machine gun. This year Nerf debuted the N-Strike Stampede, a fully automatic, motorized machine gun that shoots up to three soft darts a second.

Hasbro and Reebok partnered in 2008 for a line of high-top sneakers branded with Hasbro's best-selling, real-estate board game Monopoly.

Frascotti said Monopoly will launch an online game on popular social media site Facebook next year, as well as a new edition of the classic board game tied into the coming release of the second animated movie in the wildly popular "Cars" series from Walt Disney Co.'s (DIS) Pixar studios.

Shares of Hasbro, which are about 64% higher than they were a year ago, recently changed hands at $47.08, down 24 cents from Monday's close.
