LONDON--The U.K. communications regulator, Ofcom, Friday said it
fined EE--the mobile telecommunications company jointly owned by
Orange (ORA.FR) and Deutsche Telekom Ag (DTE.XE)--GBP1 million
($1.56 million) over complaints handling failures.
Ofcom said its investigation found that from July 22, 2011 to 8
April, 2014, EE didn't provide certain customers with accurate or
adequate information about their right to take their complaint to
an alternative dispute resolution scheme.
BT Group PLC (BT.A.LN), the U.K. telecoms incumbent, reached
agreement to buy EE in a multi-billion deal.
