SYDNEY--Brambles Ltd. (BXB.AU) said Monday it has launched a share issue, without detailing its size or the issue price.

The wooden pallet and plastic container supplier said in a statement it expects to announce the results of the raising by Thursday.

It has been trying to sell to its Recall document management business but the sale process has dragged on beyond its original targeted completion date.

Brambles shares closed Friday at A$6.79.
