Light sweet crude oil contains and low wax content and is less than 0.5% sulfer. In the U.S., light sweet crude oil is traded on the NYMEX commodity exchange. It also contains small proportions of hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide.
Light sweet crude oil is generally used for processing into gasoline and is in high demand in the U.S. and Canada. Some of the producers of this type of oil are Iraq, Saudi Arabia, U.S., Malaysia and Indonesia.
