gas industry in his debut book, "Subsea Rigid Pipelines - Methods
of Installation." Throughout the book, Dr. Ng shares various
methods of installing rigid subsea and submarine pipelines. Some of
the common methods that readers will gain knowledge to are S-lay,
J-lay, and reel-lay vessels. While introducing these methods, Dr.

The author provides an overview of construction methodologies
for subsea pipelines. Dr. Ng offers a different perspective to his
readers by providing a practical and illustrative approach to
explain how submarine pipelines can be installed by numerous
approaches. He gives examples of his past projects to highlight the
intensive aspects of the work. Ng provides expert commentary
through his experience as an engineer.
"I wrote this book to educate readers that subsea pipelines can
be installed by various methods, depending on contractors'
equipment availability and preferences. The most important thing to
learn from my book is proper planning, perform requisite
engineering, learn from past mistakes, and utilize proper equipment
for a successful pipeline project, said Dr. Ng. "This book not only
shares my knowledge of the oil and gas industry, but it also dives
deep into my professional past and the projects that I've worked
on."
"Subsea Rigid Pipelines - Methods of Installation" will educate
newcomers to the oil and gas industry through pipeline construction
and Dr. Ng's lifetime of knowledge in the offshore pipeline
