DALLAS, July 11, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) will serve as a Presenting Sponsor at this year's Aim for Advocacy, an event that raises over $200,000 each year in support of the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center (DCAC). The event, held Friday, August 23, offers a friendly and challenging 8-station clay-shooting tournament which raises money to assist DCAC's mission of providing hope and healing for the most severely abused children in Dallas County. As the only agency of its kind in Dallas County, DCAC coordinates local and state agencies that investigate and prosecute crimes against children, and at the same time provides comprehensive therapy and family services to the children and families affected by trauma.

AP's Gulf States Regional President, Corbett Nichter, is an original founding member of Aim for Advocacy along with John Slates of Slates Harwell, LLP. Having served multiple terms on the Board of Trustees for the organization and now currently serving on the organization's Advisory Council, Corbett is proud to continue his support for an organization that benefits the community so well.

"Touring the old Swiss Avenue facility in 2007 with my Leadership Dallas class and seeing how much the organization positively affected the lives of children was so humbling for me," states Corbett Nichter. "We had to get involved and stay involved as they positively change the futures of so many children."

In addition, AP was recently selected to complete renovations of DCAC's facility. Designed by Corgan, renovations include updates to offices, meeting rooms and interview areas in order to help modernize and better facilitate the building for DCAC's clients and team members. DCAC has also been a benefactor of AP's charity golf classic in the past and the AP team is now proud to be a partner in DCAC's efforts to better their facility in order to assist children who have been abused or witnessed a violent crime.

Hosted at Dallas Gun Club and just in time for dove season, the event also offers sponsors and their teams a catered lunch, a raffle of luxury recreational items, and a live auction of once-in-a-lifetime experience packages for fishers and hunters. The event engages sporting and outdoor enthusiasts in our mission to provide justice and restore hope for the most severely abused children in Dallas County.
