CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, July 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- HR Green, Inc. (HR Green) announced that their Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Michelle A. Byard, has been elected to the Board of Directors of its holding company, Green Companies, Inc. (GCI). 

Byard joined HR Green's leadership team in late 2009 as Controller before being promoted to CFO in 2013. Byard leads Finance & Accounting, Legal, and Risk Management for HR Green. She also assists with the oversight of GCI Development, which houses its Windsor Manor Assisted Living Facilities. Currently, she serves on HR Green's Audit Committee, 401(k) Committee, and on the Board of its captive insurance company, Golden Rule.

Since joining HR Green, Byard has integrated the accounting systems and practices of GCI's acquired firms, revamped the legal/insurance department, streamlined accounting functions, and updated financial tools. She supports staff, clients, and business lines with a proactive approach to propel success in all areas. Her experience includes public accounting, retail/wholesale, real estate, transportation and telecommunications.
