Sovereign Mines of Africa announces that it was informed today that Sir David Ord holds 85,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.01 pence ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company, equal to approximately 9.87 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company. Sir David Ord holds 50,000,000 Ordinary Shares in his own name and 35,000,000 through David Ord Limited, a company of which he is the ultimate controlling party.
