HSBC Appoints New Group CRO, COO in Strategic Board Reshuffle

HSBC Holdings PLC (HSBA.LN) said Monday that it has appointed
Pam Kaur as group chief risk officer effective Jan. 1 and John
Hinshaw as group chief operating officer-designate effective Dec.
10.
Andy Maguire will retire as group chief operating officer
effective Jan. 30, part of a number of changes the senior
management team aimed at positioning the group for the next phase
of its strategy.
The company said that Mr. Kaur replaces Marc Moses who will be
stepping down on Dec. 31, but will continue to provide support
until he formally retires on Dec. 9.
Mr. Maguire will leave the group at the end of his six-month
notice period on June 9, and will be replaced by Mr. Hinshaw.
Additionally, Samir Assaf will take on a new role as chairman of
corporate and institutional banking. He will be stepping down as
CEO of global banking and markets effective March 1.
