--BP PLC is launching a share-award scheme for its more than 60,000 employees, Reuters reports.

--The program was announced by Chief Executive Bernard Looney in a company-wide town hall meeting last Tuesday, according to Reuters.

--The distribution will take place in 2021, the cost isn't yet clear and such shares will be locked for four years, Reuters reports.
