The Chief Executive of Volkswagen AG's (VOW.XE) ridesharing unit Moia is leaving to take on another role within the car maker, the company said Friday.

Ole Harms, the former chief executive and founder of Moia, will take in a new role within the group, which will be announced at a later date, Volkswagen said.

Mr. Harms will be succeeded by former Chief Operating Officer Robert Henrich, it said.
