Siemens AG said Thursday it has designed a mobile coronavirus testing unit with a rapid test laboratory.

The German industrial company said it is developing the units through its Smart Infrastructure business alongside Thai automation company Auto-Info.

Siemens said it developed a ventilation system to be used in the testing units which will be able to control humidity, pressure, temperature and air quality in order to prevent contamination.

Siemens said the units can be constructed in one month, and will first be rolled out to healthcare and industrial groups in Thailand.
