Bayer to Donate Medicines to Treat Coronavirus

Bayer AG (BAYN.XE) said Tuesday that is donating medicines and
financial aid worth around 1.5 million euros ($1.65 billion) to
support the population affected by the outbreak of coronavirus in
China.
The German chemical-and-pharmaceutical conglomerate said it will
donate drugs including antibiotics and analgesics with a total
value of EUR850,000, as well as EUR600,000 in cash to be used to
buy protective clothing for medical staff in Wuhan.
The donations will be made to the Chinese Red Cross, which is
working with the country's health authorities to coordinate the
deployment of aid measures for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment
and containment of the respiratory virus infection.
