Fortum Oyj (FORTUM.HE) will start constructing its first large-scale wind park in Finland this summer as part of its goal to increase its solar and wind power generation to a multi-gigawatt scale.

The Finnish state-controlled utility company said Tuesday that it will invest EUR90 million in the project, which consists of 21 wind turbines with a total capacity of 90.3 megawatts and an annual production of more than 0.3 terawatt-hours.

The turbines will be supplied, operated and maintained by Danish wind-turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (VWS.KO), Fortum said.

The company added it expects the park to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2021 at the latest.
