Cartridge Eject System Saved Officer Precious Time TAMPA, Fla.,
April 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stinger Systems, Inc. (OTC
Bulletin Board: STYS), a leader in electro-stun technology today
announced that the Marion County Sheriff's Office has issued its
deputies the Stinger S-200 AT Electronic Immobilization Device.
Scott McKinney, Marion's Chief Investigator, stated, "We have done
a substantial amount of research into electronic immobilization
devices in order to determine which device would be best suited for
our agency and its needs. After consideration of the different
types and brands on the market today we decided to utilize the
Stinger S-200, primarily due to the officer friendly features the
S-200 has. The features we were most pleased with were the
ambidextrous eject button, the bolt through on/off switch and the
recessed concealed cartridge. I would like to also commend Stinger
Systems for their outstanding customer service. It has been a
pleasure doing business with your company and we look forward to
continuing doing business in the future." On April 1, 2009 Mr.
McKinney went to serve a bench warrant on an individual when he
began to flee. He made contact with him and ordered him to get on
the ground and to show his hands. The suspect immediately shoved
his right hand into his right front pants pocket. Mr. McKinney then
deployed the Stinger S-200 but because the suspect was moving
quickly, only one probe made contact with the suspect. Chief
Investigator McKinney then utilized the eject button on the S-200
and ejected the spent cartridge. Whereupon he then used the contact
stun mode applied to the suspect upper left arm and drove the
suspect to the ground. The arrest was affected without injury to
the suspect and officers involved. ABOUT STINGER SYSTEMS Stinger
