Siemens to Supply Industrial Gas Turbines to Ascend

Siemens AG said Tuesday that it will supply gas turbines to
chemical materials manufacturer Ascend Performance Materials for a
facility in Alabama.
The three 33-megawatts SGT-700B industrial gas turbines will
allow Ascend to retire assets that currently provide process steam
for the facility it says, adding that "the shift to gas turbines
for steam generation is part of Ascend's long-term sustainability
strategy".
The German company will supply the turbines through its
subsidiary Siemens Gas and Power for an undisclosed amount.
