We have to find out the company status, reported figurs for 2023 etc
I have hard that we should keep our shares as the company
is still in operation.
Who can contact Lie Solomon , the American broker SEC
and get an answer and info about the status of the company?

The reason I ask is my shares still appear on my acct, but share price shows NA.
So if I want to take a TAX loss I have to contact the CS to get rid of them.....Doesn't sound right

How is the status for SIAF?
1/ still an ongoing concern with shares registered in US?
2/ Who is the emmitant / market maker /broker /bank to contact for info about the status?
3/Have someone received any info direct from the company after that the shares were revoked?
4/ Can we together act to get new information from SEC, Heng Ren Investments.Boston or direct to SIAF?

it was designed as a fraud. Solly sold $185mm of shares over 10 years.

Mark I am pretty sure you are mistaken. If there is a scamster it must be Solomon. I actually met him in Oslo at a hotel. I had to wait for hours because the Norwegian who participated in the attempt to save part of the value of the stock had very long talks with him.

Realdutch yes. That’s the main character. Find the guy behind the nick, he stole your money. Put him in prison. What a low life scumbag.

I hope all you lost a lot of money who believed this dutch something what was the scamsters name again forgot already? This whole forum is a scamsters market, pathetic. I find this very interesting. Solomon has acted as a swindler a long time ago it appears. A Swedish group appear to have been deceived losing a double-digit number of dollars and an American investor a few million dollars. I met him personally at a hotel in Oslo after he had talked for hours for the Norwegian investor who not so long ago tried to save something for the shareholders of SIAF.

Yes that’s him

I found this many years ago.

Essentially Lee got caught scamming, they arrested his partner and sent him to prison and Lee fled before they could also arrest him. He fled to Malaysia w about 2 million USD in stolen funds with an active criminal warrant if I recall correctly. I didn’t post then because everyone here was drinking the koolaide. If I did the post would have just been removed anyways,

Why is it that the pps of TMNA is dropping and is now "0.30

0.00

0.00%

0.261 / 0.30 (1 x 1)" where as the pps was $ 1.39 a few minutes ago, after having been as high as $ 1.42 some minutes earlier?

Skinny I thought I had the same sort of problem with SPZI which had been delisted for more than 10 years. I owned almost 1% of the O/S. Then suddenly it started trading again and I sold my shares at a profit of more than 50,000 dollars. Since then the pps has almost reverted to the price I paid for my shares more than 10 years ago.

Don't think your broker can do anything except request that physical shares be sent to you (unlikely company will actually comply with that request). They will hold indefinitely or until company recalls them (unlikely). Or you tell your broker to just wipe them off your account.

The only real question is when can you take a worthless stock deduction? Don't think you'd have a problem taking in 2023.

They actually posted to company website: https://sinoagrofood.investorroom.com/sec-filings

That's a riot. They don't do anything, but made the effort to publish their SEC revocation.

At least your portfolio had to be in gain position. My portfolio in net realized loss for 2022. Didn't need to pick losers to sell.

You don't need to close position before market goes away. If it does, it's a worthless stock deduction. Doesn't hit the 1099. It's a manual entry in TurboTax. Taken 2 in last couple years.

I was using the John Templeton approach when he first started out i.e he bought a basket of stocks trading under $1 and some worked out and some didn't. I think Buffett did something similar buying a basket of cheap Korean stocks. Peter Lynch is awesome and GARP is great (Munger convinced Warren to buy quality) but note that PL mentioned the 6 types of stocks so he would buy anything in the U.S. At the moment an investor has to at least look at China just for valuation. The U.S is picked over. imo. Thanks for the post.

Yes, the learning here was not to try to be too smart. Look for opportunities in the more established companies, or at least not in shady non-listed Chinese companies. I'm leaning more towards a Peter Lynch strategy now.

SIAF seemed too good to be true, as it turned out to be.

Anyway, it was a good learning experience. Unless an investor experiences complete failure then they are not ready to advance (imo).
