SEC Charges New York Man with Conducting Penny Stock Manipulation Schemes

On March 23, 2016, the Securities and Exchange Commission charged Guy Gentile, a resident of Putnam Valley, New York, with perpetrating penny stock manipulation schemes.

The SEC alleges that Gentile, who at the relevant time owned and operated a registered broker-dealer based in Carmel, New York, engaged in manipulative trading, provided illegal kick-backs, and distributed promotional mailings of glossy "newsletters" with fake publication names like "Stock Trend Report" and "Global Investor Watch," in order to tout the stocks of purported gold and silver exploration company Raven Gold Corporation (RVNG) and natural gas production company Kentucky USA Energy (KYUS). The newsletters misled investors with purportedly positive - but fake - price and volume trends for these stocks and other false information about the promoters' identity, compensation, and control of the stock. In reality, most of the touted market activity was generated by Gentile and his associates who controlled large blocks of the companies' stocks. Last year, the SEC charged attorney Adam Gottbetter for his role in the KYUS scheme, as well as Canadian stock promoters Mike Taxon and Itamar Cohen for their roles in the RVNG and KYUS schemes.

The SEC's complaint filed in federal court in New Jersey alleges that Gentile violated Sections 5(a), 5(c), 17(a) and 17(b) of the Securities Act of 1933, and violated and aided and abetted violations of Section 10(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Exchange Act Rule 10b-5. The SEC seeks disgorgement of ill-gotten gains, civil money penalties, injunctions against future violations, and a bar against participation in penny stock offerings.

The SEC appreciates the assistance of the Newark Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

RVNG is severely delinquent in filing their Financials and corporate filing obligations to the SEC. On Feb. 20, 2015 the SEC suspended 8 stocks from the Delinquent SEC Filers list, and it is likely that more delinquent Filers will be suspended.

Since Jan 1st, 2010 the SEC has suspended over 1290 stocks for Financials delinquencies. All of those Suspended stocks had their stock registrations revoked.

Shareholders should contact the company and pressure the Mgmt to file their delinquent Financials because ALL shareholders would be wiped out IF the SEC suspends the stock.

After a trip to the TRGD board it would appear that the RVNG Tara gold contract was terminated in 2007.

I called David Whitehorse (Tara Gold IR and Tara Minerals IR/COO) again and left a message for him to return my call please..

I dont believe this is off topic as it has to do with RVNG and Tara JV

I have called Tara twice and emailed them and have not been able to get confirmation from them if they are in JV with RVNG

Per my previous post if you look on the Tara Gold Website it lists the project as 100% owned

Therefore I come to the conclusion that RVNG defaulted in the agreement and has no intrest in the said projects..

I dont know for sure but this looks like an empty shell that a promoter pumped for some reason......The promoter claims they had no stock in RVNG. IF the promoter had no stock, and the disclaimer didn't state they were pd., if they were - then it would've sd so. So, how did the promoter get pd?

Maybe, just maybe - the promoter and it's crew DIDN'T have sh. at the time they made that disclaimer (b4 the mailers were sent out) - just as the e/mail alerts went out, the promoter and crew start buying instantly - pushing the PPS up, then the receivers of the e/mail alert, see it running - start buying. The promo crew start selling into the new buyers (bag holders) - alas...... P&D done by the promoter, stealing $$ right out the pockets as they walked in the door. What'cha think of that theory?!

Thats true.... I noticed that its weird. But if you look at the last report just reported a couple months ago there is a number and that number is not even working just a couple months later?

in the qr. of mars this year it said:

but they report the market. earlier this year, and that isnt for free. so why report if its not operating?

Nothing that I can tell. My DD hasnet been able to find one project Raven Gold Corp is working on. I cant find a businss location, none of their phone numbers work, all the PRs on their OTCMarkets page have nothing to do with them, the website isnt active, the domain name is about to expire (will be interesting if someone renews it). The company is listed in NJ I beleive and thei status is non-active. I dont know for sure but this looks like an empty shell that a promoter pumped for some reason. Perhaps 3rd party investor who knows. The promoter claims they had no stock in RVNG.

This ran on a stockrockandroll promotion. The promoter claims they own no stock in RVNG but who knows.

Things could change but at the moment; currently doesnt look like anything more then a promo; we dont even know if the company had anything to do with the promotion as the company doesnt seem to operate anymore.

RVNG may be buying own shares or partner, I do not know. But it ran 2000% last week.

Still waiting to hear back from Tara Gold Resources.

The company did have a 2006/2007 agreement for them for mining in Mexico.

My best guess here is that they defaulted on payments and forfeited their stake and defualted on the agreement.

Perhaps I will fire off an email to shortsqueeze and try to find out.

On thursday morning it did trade like it was a 2m float shooting up to .06 on like 3 million shares (buys) from .014. But since then we saw a seq sell of 9 million shares (12:57 Thurs)..

It has been trading very poorly imo since about 9:45 am Thursday morning.

If the float is 2 million or so then this one could run anytime with more volume and momo imo as well.

I just dont see anything going on behind the seens with this company that would suggest a turn around with the company itself.

Article regarding RVNG
RVNG did appear in a promotional newsletter. The promoter claims it hasn't been compensated and holds no shares of RVNG. The mail itself is rather bare and contains no reason as to why the surge has happened other than "SR&R thinks the GOLD RUSH has just begun".

It does not appear that this company is active at the moment. The companies website is down and none of the companies listed numbers are connected. The company files reports sometimes but hasnt issued any updates in years.
I tried to contact Corvus Gold, Cresval Gold and Tera Gold Resuce Group as RVNG has (had) news regarding them on their OTCMarkets page.

I got the following reply from Corvus Gold which included

I dont know but imo both these are wrong. The promoter stated and most information out there suggests the OS is or was at 35 million prior to the promotion Thursday.
