-- Severin Schwan, who is Roche Holding AG's chief executive and
also serves as vice chairman on Credit Suisse Group AG's board of
directors, said he hasn't yet decided if he will remain on Credit
Suisse's board, the Zurich-based newspaper Tages-Anzeiger
reports.
-- The executive has been criticized for taking on a double role
at the two companies, and for the fact that he pushed for the
removal of Credit Suisse chief Antonio Horta-Osorio after helping
get him appointed, the paper reports.
-- Mr. Schwan has countered the criticism, saying that the two
mandates at the two companies are fundamentally compatible, and
that he is now supporting the new head of Credit Suisse in
stabilizing the bank, according to Tages-Anzeiger.
